DB11 Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 Why are people berating the Referee? If you look at his position, it doesn't look that bad thus he cannot be definitely sure it is a red card offence.
potter3 Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 Why are people berating the Referee? If you look at his position, it doesn't look that bad thus he cannot be definitely sure it is a red card offence. Because he's always been a shit ref
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 14 November 2008 Posted 14 November 2008 Now if someone from the Barnsley crowd made a complaint to the police - they'd have to follow that up wouldn't they? There's certainly been a case similar to that before? (I think one involved a Spurs player making a Nazi style salute or something) Maybe even one of us could contact the Yorkshire Police?
Bert Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 I can only assume that we havent heard anything direcetly from Morgan because this could be seen as an admission of guilt... and with possible legal action he'll probably have been told not to say anything. Morgan has been told he's not allowed to comment. I did, and got a reply from the club today to say thanks and that they'd forward my good wishes to the poor lad - it'd be good if everyone could send some kind words, I reckon the bloke deserves it. Same here. Why are people berating the Referee? If you look at his position, it doesn't look that bad thus he cannot be definitely sure it is a red card offence. Why are you trying to defend the ref? He had a clear view of what happened, but only booked Morgan even though Hume was in agony holding his head, and then later on he sends off someone for a push. The bloke is a disgrace.
carterfox90 Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 the ref should be banned also morgan should not be allowed on a football pitch again

Why didn't the referee ensure that Hume had immediate attention for a head injury, he was left lying on the floor totally unattended whilst everyone else argued the toss? He could've been dying!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 I did, and got a reply from the club today to say thanks and that they'd forward my good wishes to the poor lad - it'd be good if everyone could send some kind words, I reckon the bloke deserves it. I did this as soon as i heard about it he is a top player and was quality for us and seems to be a genuienly loved bloke by lcfc supporters hence 10 pages to him here.
Thracian Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 the ref should be banned also morgan should not be allowed on a football pitch again Can you imagine it? In a country where even the most vile and calculating murderers get treated with leniency, neither the referee nor the player will get any more than a metaphoric slap on the wrist. Both club and player should sue. No just for proper compensation but to more firmly establish that an allegation of assault causing GBH in a professional sporting situation is no different if proven, to a similar assault in the street. In fact it should be worse. As I understand it a person is allowed to use reasonable force in defending themselves from someone attacking them on the streets or in their home. But on a football field any retaliation would probably be treated by the football authorities with the same severity as the assailant, however that is deemed to be right. So given that any attacked person has no right of self-defence, the punishment for any proven assault should be greater.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 Thanks for your efforts during a dull period at this great football club. We have fond memories of you and hope you get better soon

Iain has an 18-inch scar that runs from his forehead in the shape of a horseshoe right around to his ear. He is black and blue, his head is swollen and he is a mess. Poor guy.
Alexikokopops Posted 16 November 2008 Author Posted 16 November 2008 Poor guy. It's ok, chicks dig scars.
