Bert Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Morgan won't get punished anymore (football wise) as he got booked by the most incompetent twat that refs the game. I hope the **** is going to make a personal apology, and feels bad about what he's done. Getting done for assault would be a bonus, but I can't see it happening. He wouldn't like it if it happened to him.
Monk Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 From that evidence it looked a calculated and blatant assault. Imagine what would happen to a fan doing that to a steward at the Walkers. He be banned for life. I hope Barnsley do a service to football and do all they can to see that Morgan gets everything he deserves. More importantly I hope the FA take the correct action. Too often they say 'well the ref gave him a yellow card at the time so there's nothing we can do about it'. Absolutely awful challenge, I hope he gets a long long ban. It's Monday and there has been no official apology either as far as I'm aware, which is real;ly disappointing.
C-man Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 I usually don't agree with the argument 'if that happened on the street the attacker would be sent down' line that is banded about when these sort of things happen, but after seeing that video, I hope Barnsley and Humey do all they can to get Morgan severely punished for his actions. Premeditated elbows have no place in football, so neither does Chris Morgan in my book. Sheff Yoo play Reading at Brammall Lane this weekend. I might have to pay a visit to the Reading end so I can hurl abuse at the twat 'cos the F.A. won't have banned him. The only person that will face disciplinary action will be Simon Davey, which will make a further mockery of the 'Respect' campaign.

Most red carded player in the Pigs' history and he's only been there 5 years. He wants the book throwing at him severely. http://www.soccerway.com/news/2007/January...h-during-match/ I hope he gets the same.
potter3 Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 I remember something similar with him a couple of years ago...? Can't remember properly. But it was definitely him.
tartanowl Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 I remember something similar with him a couple of years ago...? Can't remember properly. But it was definitely him. He hit Robin van Persie.

Molson Canadian Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 disgusting incident i hope the FA really crack down on this incident. Hopefully Hume will be back soon, i was browing a canadian football forum and hume's brother stu posted a comment here is below: "this is Iain's older brother, just writing to say he is doing alot better. He is starting to respond. like to say thanks to all for your concern, i will let him know that everyone is behind him to get get well soon. In regards to the tackle. was extremely dirty, just a lack of respect from one player to another. Unfortunately these things tend to happen, just unfortunate that a guy 6'3 or 6'4 decided to play the tough guy with a kid half his size. well done big man. James love the show, keep it up." Cheers Everyone is concerned for his well being, Hume is real fighter he will be back on pitch soon i bet.
hairy Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Barnsley threatening legal action. So that they can cover their loses not doubt. Salary and part of the transfer fee. I hate football these days its all money, money money. Hume should be the one taking legal action
The People's Hero Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 I wish the football league would show some boll ocks and do something about this. Morgan is a fucktard.

I hate football these days its all money, money money.Hume should be the one taking legal action I'd have thought their insurance cover would probably take care of at least part of his salary etc. I imagine the legal action may be to do with the agressive nature of the assault rather than monetary compensation, but I could be wrong. Get well soon Hume, really nasty injury
Fox in a Box Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Putting aside the 'hard men' tag that some players have and we have had a fair share of them Taggs, Speedie, Walsh but they were fair in the tackle and took what they gave, Chris Morgan is a thug and should actually be strung up and done for common assault, ABH if you please. NOT HAPPY. Wishing Humey all the best in his recovery as he is such a genuine guy http://www.offthepost.info/2008/11/footbal...effield-united/
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 I expect a proper bloody suspension to be handed out Get well soon Humey
Ultra Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Chris Morgan is a thug and should actually be strung up and done for common assault, ABH if you please. NOT HAPPY. Like the guy in your avatar? Morgan is the lowest form of scum, as is D'Urso. The FA must act to ensure neither are seen again on a football field for a very long time. Not holding my breath, though. I suspect the biggest punishment for this episode will go to Simon Davey. Meanwhile, let's hope Hume makes a full recovery.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Morgan is an absolute clown. That elbow cant be condoned on any level. If the ref has seen a raised elbow it should be a straight red, why is he giving a yellow, it makes D'Urso equally a clown... Shocking . Humey son, get well soon pal , was gutted when you left....
Corky Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Disgusting premeditated thuggery from Morgan. He's been a dirty player his whole career. I can't believe Blackwell, Radio Sheffield and that arsehole Colin at Palace have backed him up tonight. Life threatening injury Davey the Barnsley manager says on the BBC website. He would be in jail if he was a normal person who did that on a night out. I hope your old lad Hume makes a full recovery and that dirty pig tosser gets locked up.Video here - excuse the poor quality. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=w-UOngEsutI Oh what a surprise. That's pretty rich coming from a bloke who lambasted Trevor Benjamin when he elbowed a couple of his defenders in 2003.
Fox92 Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Morgan that was terrible also, terrible that he only got booked. I thought that elbows were red cards, but Morgan should be band for a few games. I remember when he was trying to get Stearman sent off, or was that Micheal Tonge? Anyway, terrible Morgan. Should be forced to say sorry to Hume.
C-man Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 It's now Tuesday and neither the F.A. or Football League have done anything about it. fooking grow a pair
AyewJoking Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Morgan should be melted down for this. All the best with your recovery Humey!
Jay Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 It's now Tuesday and neither the F.A. or Football League have done anything about it. fooking grow a pair it's because they aren't premiership players simple as......
AmericanScott Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 The FA are scared to do anything because Morgan might elbow them all.
