No matter, the manner of his depature he given it his all during his years at City

Thatcher was banned for eight games for his assault on Mendes, Morgan should be given at least same amount of the games banned!

Having now watched a blurry video of it - another issue that seems to have been missed is how long the poor lad laid on the floor in agony totally ignored whilst the ref and the players argued amongst themselves.

Ps apologies if this has been mentioned.

i fcuking hate chris morgan and sheffield united anyway! should be banned for that!

i understand you need your arms to get elevation when you jump and to hold off the other player but its completely different type of thing when you move your arm outwards and towards others heads, i was a defender and i never did it on purpose or by accident and never had it done to me. infact i only ever hit my head once when i nutted the back of a strikers head lol got a lump but got on with it.

anyway i know he left at a difficult time for us but hume is a legend to me.

Hume always gave 100% here, and I'll always have respect for him. I hope he recovers quickly and that son of a thug Chris Morgan should get the book thrown at him.

The ref also needs done. Whatever happened to the protection of players.

I hope Warnock is asked by the FA to explain his comments regarding this matter.

"Hume walked into Morgan's elbow". Yes, that's right, because you can really sustain life-threatening injuries by walking into a still elbow :angry:>_<:rolleyes:

Colin is a complete and utter cretin of the highest order. If it happened to one of his players he would be asking them to ban that player from the game for ever.

Just watched the utube video again.

NO attempt to initially head the ball, it was thunk! take that Hume, oh now I'd better head the ball.

An absolute disgrace, sheer thuggery.

Since the FA have not (as yet) done anything about it, I feel that the club and Humey should take this incident to court for serious assault.

Anyone with all of their faculties can see in the video that this was with intent.

Should never be allowed to play again.

Get well soon Hume and good luck for the future.

Also, Humey will never be the same player again. He is a committed player who tries hard in aerial challenges, now he will think twice about doing it again.

That is the very reason he got injured in this game. Morgan had (lets say) used his strength advantage several times before according to what Barnsley fans have been saying. Most players would take that as a warning that they might get injured and shirk the next few, but not Hume. Many defenders have built a career based on this tactic. It's about time it was stopped.

hard case is a massive understatement imo the bloke is an animal it's obvious he has little talent and uses aggression to make up for it the amount of times he goes in with his elbows high is a disgrace, he also likes a stamp, a shirt pull and any other dirty tricks he can think of to make up for his lack of talent and winning the ball fairly.

oh and as Morgan was booked it suggests to me that this was typical Morgan and a totally over the top challenge no doubt elbows first aiming for the man then ball

This is why I never wanted and still don't want to see Warnock ever manage this club, and you're spot on in that he is most definitely a cretin.

Morgan should be banned for at least 8 games. Typical Colin W*nker - would have never gone again if that **** got the job here. Like the signature on the petition from the Oldham fan though "An absolute disgrace. The guy should be banned for life." erm Lee Hughes? :doh:
