Thracian Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/details.asp?k...112008276355131 You have to feel for the bloke. Irrespective of concerns about his passing and consequent effect on the team's style of play Kisnorbo's a good defender and another 100 per center like Hume. It bothered me that he seemed such a selection certainty - almost as much a Chosen Man as Oakley - but his absence means we suddenly seem a bit short of cover at centre-back.

Has he played his last game for us then . Though tbh, I prefer each of the other 3 centre backs to him.
Tilley Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 My question is, Will he ever play for us again? I doubt it.
Ross-Kemp Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 My question is,Will he ever play for us again? I doubt it. Agreed
marbelladave Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Interesting. I would not like to wish ill of any of our players, past or present, particular one as wholehearted as Patrick. However it is my firm conviction that we play better as a TEAM without him and I look forward to the next few matches with increased confidence. At this point I think I should point out that all 3 goals on saturday came from passing movements with the ball largely kept on the floor, contrast that with recent games. Despite the mediocrity of the opposition, we looked quite decent when we played this way and on another day could have had 5 or 6. BTW Best wishes to Ian Hume.

Good we can get back to playing the ball out of defense for a change now Mr Hoof is injured.
Corky Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 It's sad to see someone get injured again after a serious injury in the recent past, and Kisnorbo has always given 100 per cent, which is more than can be said for some of his previous team-mates. I wish him a speedy recovery, but I think, if he proves his fitness, he's gone in January. I don't think our dip in form is down to him especially, although it frustrating to see long-balls creeping back in (he's not the only one who plays long-ball mind you). However, a return to the defence playing through the midfield would be more than welcome.

However, a return to the defence playing through the midfield would be more than welcome. It was noticeable that in the pre-match warm up for Stevenage, Kisnorbo spent much of his time doing simple 10-yard passes with the coach, which at least suggested that he knew he had a problem and was trying to do something about it. Unfortunately passing, and the confidence/presence of mind to pass in pressure situations is mostly in the mind. Yes, it helps if your passing technique can be relied on but with naturally cultured centre-halfs, it's all about reading the game early and planning ahead. It's the same with Henderson as a distributor really. I don't believe that he can't throw the ball. Quite the contrary. But he doesn't quite see the picture early enough to act quickly enough.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Time for Morrison to step up. I think/hope we'll see a positive set of performances/results now
Zingari Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 just read about this on vital football site, and it seems they want someone to edit the leicester city section ; journo experience etc thracian , ultra .......anyone interested ? http://www.leicester.vitalfootball.co.uk/a...le.asp?a=131515
Ric Flair Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 I wonder whether Kisnorbo will play for us again, can see him going in January anyway.

Corky Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Thracian is a past editor I believe. *WHY DEFENSIVE FOOTBALL SHOULD BE BANNED* was a particular favourite of mine.
Fox You Forest Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Thracian is a past editor I believe. I see Shingler as the ideal candidate.
Corky Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 I see Shingler as the ideal candidate. Kissnorob is out four 2 moths
dandannieldanok Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Why do some people think it's nailed on Kisnorbo will leave in Jan, who would want him? Come January he'll have played about 4/5 games since his initial injury in April and he's not exactly covered himself in glory in those. People are getting carried away with the bog roll rumours from last Jan. The situation is completely different now.
Thracian Posted 11 November 2008 Author Posted 11 November 2008 Thracian is a past editor I believe. Yes I did it for a year. I found the back up team excellent, genuinely pleasant and helpful people to work with. Appreciative too. It's not a situation that will help your bank balance much - I simply agreed to help them out in what was a fledgling venture and because I was interested at a time when I needed to be around the house because my wife was ill. The site is a quiet one but for an aspiring journalist keen to get some recordable experience in electronic editing it remains a worthwhile exercise and one which would quite possibly earn brownie points from a prospective employer in the future.
lcfc81 Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 I'll be interested to see if Morrison gets a run in the team tonight, I read somewhere Pearson praised him for his play on Saturday. I want him to do well but have felt I was a bit biased towards him and against Hobbs I put this down to the fact we own Morrison. Whoever plays I will be looking at their game closely tonight. Also will be interesting to see if the 'Kisnorbo effect' does exist, beacuse I agree with many on here, we seemed to start Hoofing it when he cam e back into the team. I remember quite distinctivly against Oldham that in the first half we passed the ball around in the second half (or after their goal) we played hoof ball and looked awful!!!
