Zingari Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 trav le bleu 17. walk through glenfield tunnel heard this was possible, but is it legal/a good idea (thought it was bricked up) yes it's bricked up now, but i walked through it many times as a kid , the trains were still running but were very rare after the early 60s ( can't exactly remember when they stopped ) there were little recesses in the brickwork that you could squeeze into if a train came along but thankfully i never had to use one , i do remember a young girl was killed in the tunnel though around 1961/2 ish
