Corky Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Yeah they did, Swindon fans were very loud as well at times best ive seen this season. The thing is for 85 minutes or whatever when they scored we were totally in control, first half maybe they had the edge becuase of the wind. Then because of no reason we decide to let them back in the game. When that goes in you just know we will concede again. Pissing annoying. Definitely. You going next week? I don't want to see us throw another lead away and have a miserable journey home.
Sods Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Definitely. You going next week? I don't want to see us throw another lead away and have a miserable journey home. Yeah definately looks like im going. Don't worry about the score mate it will just ruin your day
Corky Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Yeah definately looks like im going. Don't worry about the score mate it will just ruin your day My frustration is easing off now. I'm alright. I'll be up for it next week, and if we win the league, or just get promoted, this one will be forgotten Though if we don't it won't be

Tilley Posted 15 November 2008 Author Posted 15 November 2008 I don't think we will get promoted this season mate. Me neither.
Maybes Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Gonna get relegated ain't we Micheal Morrison seriously annoys me. Should be Hobbs and Tunch centre halfs! Disapointing that we threw away the two goal lead with the game all but in the bag. Swindon rarely threatened in the second half so have done well to come away with a point. Atmosphere in the open end terrace was awful. Praying Carlisle isn't the same!
Joe. Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 This team just do my nut in at times. We clearly had that game in the bag with 20 minutes to go until we decided to self-destruct and do a Brighton. This is the third time we've lost a two goal lead this season in the league, something's not right. Unfortunately I've got to say Mr. Pearson must take a lot of responsibility for this. We've gone ahead on numerous occassions this season and then simply sat back and lost the flow completely. Overall a draw was probably a fair result though, credit to Swindon that they made life difficult for most of the day and came back.
Bert Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Some people are so fickle. Howard suspended next week, hopefully DJ will get a start. Disappointed in the manner of not winning today, when we're one nil up, we push on, when we're two nil up, we sit back.

Corky Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 I don't think we will get promoted this season mate. I think we can, but we'll need to stop throwing away points so carelessly. A win next week would be marvellous. There's a long way to go. Chins up.
Asha Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Highlight of the day.WE SEEEN SHINGLER!!!! He was on the same Fox Travel coach as me for Oldham. Topped.
lildave3 Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Gutted not to have won, we got arrogant and complacent. Poor. Michael the hoof lived upto his nickname ALL game, and the whole team seemed to panic like mad after they got their first. Still, a fantastic day out. One of the best so far this season. Stewards - common sense, good, and entertaining! A chavvy steward complete with burberry hat stormed off giving a one fingered salute after being told he would cry in a minute. Their fans weren't bad either. Celebrations were ace too, charging too the front. Get me on TV! Oh, and Shingler ran from a steward

The steward storming off was brilliant. P.S - You little shit, had a good week of predictions.

act smiley Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Should have been an easy win... it sounded like we were in complete control at two nil and suddenly two goals from nowhere not good enough... We weren't - after about five minutes at 2-0, the central midfielders got too sloppy, the left winger drifted in too much and let them go 2-on-1 on Mattock. Decent atmosphere albeit patchy and good fun given the cold, but its still taken the edge off what would have been a really good day out Ah really? Was it that easy? You were there right to see that it was that easy? Anyone could have scored it? I'm not saying it wasn't but wait till you see it/if you see it to have a valid opinion of it rather that some commentary. A player won't score every one of those chances in a season, but for a striker known for their heading they should be bread-and-butter goals - 8-10yd header, couple of yards free, fair amount of time and straight ahead at the keeper instead of into the corner. Disappointing really.
Granno Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Gutted, but predictably we couldn't hold on to a 2-0 lead and it's bitten us on the bum yet again. <_<
marbelladave Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Oh Dear, (polite reaction) I do not give a fcuk about the stewards or the quality of the support, theirs or ours, what I do give a fcuk about is the Godawful way our team repeatedly throws away match winning positions. I have no time for all the excuses, we, as a team and as a club should be doing better and until we are delivering performances and results that are consistent with our capabilities I shall continue to call for improvements. I have just spent most of today watching my team piss away a 2-0 lead against a team who should have been beaten with some ease, and I am not happy. Losing to a better team is something that I can live with, not beating mediocre teams like Swindon (and Brighton) is not!
act smiley Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 The irritating thing is that its not "most of today", its "ten minutes of blinding stupidity from all concerned". It is annoying though, had a really nice day out and caught up with a friend I'd not seen for a while, then the result goes tits up at the end and takes the shine off things a bit
JakeShingler Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 What an awfull ground the best thing about it was the bit of terrace we was alloud to use .
