Corky Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 We seem more comfortable at 1-0. I don't understand it. Do we switch off, or do the opposition finally find something?
AmericanScott Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 We threw away a 2-0 lead within the matter of minutes. Alarming. Forget it now. Focus is on Scunny now.
Tilley Posted 15 November 2008 Author Posted 15 November 2008 At 2-0, we should have brought off Howard & put on DJ Campbell & let him chase the game and run at a tired defence & try and get a third. Had a few texts, both were soft goals to concede apparently.
Rich_Sheffield Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Shocking. how may games have we fooked up this year. we need to get more solid at the back, concentration and communication I recon is the key, I think we have the players.
DB11 Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 We should be 4 points clear by now if we hadn't dropped 2-0 leads today and at Brighton. What about the lucky 3 we got at Bristol Rovers? Evens itself out over the season
Mark Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Like Daggers I really don't understand why we didn't make a change as soon as we went 2-0 up to give DJ some important match time and to allow Pearson to issue timely reminders about late-stage concentration and tactics. Just what I was thinking at the time the 2nd went in, now we go to S****horpe with a front two that's not had any recent playing time together.
davieG Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 oh ffs. Were second place only two points behind top. Its a good position to be. A draw against a team that has had its club turned upside down like that and the caretaker manager is in a honeymoon period isnt a bad result. Admittedly we should have won. However lets not start going on about not getting promoted because of this that and the other again all bloody week. That might be an argument if we hadn't have been 2-0 up!
Nugent Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 just imagine the goals happened in the reverse order and you'll feel better...away points are nothing to cry about anyway They are when you're 2-0 up with 5 mins left.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 As all Leicester fans should know, whoever's in charge and whoever's playing, a Leicester lead is NEVER SAFE! We always have the ability to throw it away. This is another one to put on the long list of doh's!
maddog Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Once again Pearson not making subs cost us the points. Fooking shit. The fact is, if we continue throwing points away we aint going to get promoted. All it takes it for Fryatt and Dyer to get long term injuries and its game over.
Munzie Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 I have a theory that, if we are ever leading by more that 1-0 Manderic gets onto Pearson, to tell him to ease off. Manderic wants us to stay in this Division for another season, as he feels we aren't ready yet for the Championship!!Oh well I'm clutching at any straw! No one can be this inept as us, when leading by 2 goals Please tell me that you don't seriously believe that!
Jonezy Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 This must be the most frustrating team to follow. Today just adds to that. Three 2-0 leads blown and nothing learned, its very worrying. Its okey to make mistakes, but not to learn from them, thats just plain stupidity.
Thracian Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 We seem more comfortable at 1-0. I don't understand it. Do we switch off, or do the opposition finally find something? It's because you need to work even harder with your closing down at the end when the temptation, especially at 2-0, is to just get behind the ball and cover. Pearson had chances to make a substitution at 2-0 and to get this message across but he left it too late.

Its the manner of it mate if Swindon had come out all guns blazing and earned the point against us i could except it but to throw it away like this is jus rubbish
EnigmaticFox Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Please tell me that you don't seriously believe that! Ermm No, I don't but my frustration is taking me over at the moment.

We seem to be very comfortable, then we throw it away in the space of a few minutes of madness.

I'm as annoyed as you pal, but the fact is if we carryon like this, and everyone else does too, we will get promoted automatically. Just trying to bring some cheer to the evening!
Brainy Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Evens itself out over the season No it ****ing doesn't!
dypatel06 Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 PATHETIC... GIVEN AWAY THREE 2 GOAL LEADS THIS SEASON... DROPPED 5 POINTS OUT OF THEM... CANT AFFORD TO DROP POINTS... SHOULD BE 4 PTS CLEAR AT THE TOP NOW MILLWALL ND MK DONS PRESSURIN US... MUST WIN AGAINST S****HORPE NEXT MATCH TO GET TOP SPOT BACK... CANNOT LOSEEE...
Rich Fox Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 We have not learned from the Brighton game and I think this result will stop up going up. We will have a bad patch where we lose 2 or 3 and we need these points now when were 2 goals up im not sure playing like this we will even make the play offs. Loads of negatives can be taken from this terrible afternoon for leicester city.
DB11 Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Who is this twat on the phone? Driving home? CRASH
Koke Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 We will got promoted, that I'm sure of. We'll certainly be there or thereabouts come May. My glass if half full.

It smacks of what happened to Forest when they first went down...
