chamfinn10 Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 I think its about time he gave the youth a chance. Chambers can be no worse than howard at least chambers got pace not like donkey howard
marbelladave Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 The irritating thing is that its not "most of today", its "ten minutes of blinding stupidity from all concerned". It is annoying though, had a really nice day out and caught up with a friend I'd not seen for a while, then the result goes tits up at the end and takes the shine off things a bit I did not drive drive all the way to Swindon for a nice day out, I went to see my team dispatch a mediocre Div3 side on our way back to better things and we fcuked it up, big time. Suggesting that this "takes the shine off things a bit" is the kind of complacency that will see us still in this rubbish division next season!
CosbehFox Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 People need to take a step-back and look at what they though pre-season. I'd have given us 9th on paper pre-season. We're in a poor division and we're poor. We're doing alright, Pearson's working with a majority of players who are not motivated, too cocky when in front and lack confidence when behind. We can't attract anyone apart from young lads and lower league lights. The core of the squad haven't won a thing to name and are not proven quality, they are young and naive. One poor result and we're roaring like a bunch of Leeds fans on a May day in Bolton. We're lucky because the picture hardly changes, it would be nice to win the league but we'd be promoted if today was the final day. It's 1st versus 2nd next week and both clubs have the opportunity to overtake each other, with 3rd and 4th hoping for a draw. If we'd have won today, the situation would have been the same. We'd still need to beat Scunny to remain top. Go on all you like about them two points could cost us promotion - if we had that attitude they'd be about 20 games last season which had defining 50/50 moments. Holloway would still be saying if that ref didn't send off Kisnorbo at Ipswich/Sheff Utd etc. Or that disallowed goal at Scunny last season. We're all disappointed tonighy...never ever, ever should any team from under 10's to Brazil, let a side come back to draw at 2-0 up. But people need to re-assess their expectations. Anyone who thought it would be straightforward etc. has been a plonker, we were never that capable in the first place and have never played 90 minutes of football in the this season to suggest we could capable. I suspected we'll be two seasons in this division with the task being harder even next season. But for crying out loud, just give em' a go this season, you know support them from Howard to Chambers, King to Dickov - they don't really deserve it but they need it. Everyone's just looking for a quick scheme out of here.

Gotta be honest think its a big cliqe on here and everyone all friendly and darent say shit but i gotta say i agree with this geezer here and lets get behind "our" fookin team cause the single most easiest thing in life is to criticise and to be honest im sick to death of the criticising, its shite. We are second in the league, we got relegated last season cause we were sh*t. Face facts boys n girls we are not as big as we think!!! Lets get to reality and we are where we are cause we were sh*t. We need to battle our way out of this division and are gonna stay in the ccc "if" we go up????? Enjoy it cause teams are gunning for us, thats a fact.
carterfox90 Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 the fear factor is that if (christ i hope we do) we dont go up at the first time of asking then we could be stuck in this league for a few seasons which is totally unthinkable we need to be putting the mediocre teams to the sword & finish them off & be promoted by the end of april 09

Totally frustrating again cause when we were 2-0 up they'd had it. Keeper couldnt kick, defenders making mistakes and they were scared. We should have done it there and then. Instead we folded, if you ever played you know that hanging on feeling, last gasp, we'll do it etc etc but we didn't and it was very close to losing too. Totally non deserved by Swinton too. They were lucky today that we cant finish teams off. One of the biggest LOSING draws i've been to. And i've been a few. Up the city lucky bast**ds

Bazaldo Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 same as usual then we need to learn how to kill these poorer teams off cus if we dont will still be in this league next season Absolutely, we show so many signs but dont follow it through. We have a good thing here but we need to start hammering teams. Potential is there but something is missing. Today (sorry yesterday) could so easily have been a walkover. Instead we folded like 10yr old schoolgirls. No offence to the 10 yr olds etc etc. its there but needs some fine tuning me thinks

I'd agree with that but think the referee would perhaps get the arse. Seriously though we so outclass a lot of these teams its our own self confidence that lets us down. We need harry redknapp!!! Confidence is the key this year. We have the ability.
syston_fox Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 What an awfull ground the best thing about it was the bit of terrace we was alloud to use .No roof cold, First half was turd second was great untill the lad 10minutes, great goal by Oakly, thought Fryatts was going to be saved the cocky sh*t. Met BrunoBerner at Northampton Service Station. He said hes not worried beacause were going to win the league Have you stopped running now then?
Raj Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 On way home. Gutted. I wonder if people will still be going on about knee jerk reactions if we miss out on automatic promotion by 2 points come the end of the season. Swindon were awful, there for the taking. To concede 2 goals in the way we did is shocking. What annoys me most is that we looked almost arrogant at 2-0 up. Bad attitude and lack of concentration cost us, Pearson has to sort that out. And fast. No one at LCFC should EVER be arrogant. Will we never learn??? Some people are so fickle.Howard suspended next week, hopefully DJ will get a start. Disappointed in the manner of not winning today, when we're one nil up, we push on, when we're two nil up, we sit back. Again....will we never fcuking learn!!!
AoWW Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 I didn't realise Shingler was there - although I did keep seeing a lad who I thought looked suspiciously like him. Now I realise it probably was!
Katy Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 I didn't realise Shingler was there - although I did keep seeing a lad who I thought looked suspiciously like him. Now I realise it probably was! I heard about him running from the 'establishment' Hardcore Shinger, Hardcore I heard Ross Kemp was there also Just seen the goals on the Championship, Matty Fryatt looked like he'd almost fooked up in front of an open goal again, div. I'm pissed off we threw yet another 2 goal lead away but at least we didn't do a Brighton
Koke Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 We'll be alright. Keep your glass half full, ladies and gents.

I know where he's coming from though, all the full on virtual flirting and then when faced with a real life meet up it kind of cacks you out. Scunneh! Meet up at Scunneh! It's the capitial of revelations

Corky Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 Sorry, I haven't taken my tablets today.Back to the game................... I'd rather talk about something else as well
GloverFox Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 I'd rather talk about something else as well ... Sat evening and most of Sunday written off in disgust, from a solid and dependable defence we've turned to dust! If our a defender then commit and challenge (i.e. Bloody Defend!) ... and if your an attacker then take some chances, try the one off ... but at least attack! I still find it hard to swallow ... the lack of continued attack, the lack of desire to slaughter the opposition (shit I'd want goal difference in positive three figures!!!) ... the team now need the lecture of 'start pulling your weight and start to pull away in this league or start looking for other positions (i.e. "Your Fired")

We have to understand what league we're in and how we got here. Maybe then the players will start to understand that they aren't a whisker away from the top of Fabio's call list every time there's a friendly with Germany
CosbehFox Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Hendo should have streamrolled Morrison to stop the second. After the flick-on, Morro's all off balance and poorly heads it up in the area. Hendo is 2 inch behind him. Shout like feck Hendo and catch the ball.
