I'd happily stick up for him - but the sharks wouldn't want to be denied their feeding frenzy - and I would have enjoyed coaching a player of his ability in my time. He has a personal self-destruct button that needs isolating but it does sound as if he's blown his chance at Leeds and by the sounds of their fans, they are imploding too. Their reaction is typical of a club in crisis. They know their chance of even qualifying for promotion through the play offs is fast disappearing and are looking for scapegoats. Their desperation has clarly bred the nervousness and lack of self belief that we knew ourselves less than a year ago. Sheehan could still be a decent player in a decent team but he's the sort that needs geeing up and who needs allies around him. But yes, I'll stand alone and defend the guy. I don't much like kicking people when they're down anyway.

If they've lost, they all go completely ****ing mental at the entire playing staff in about 300 different threads. It's like here last season but busier, I suppose. Or the real Sheehan even allowing for differing opinions. Had he got flu or something? If not I wouldn't give much for his future there.
