Brainy Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 I only read that fryatt has been watched by a couple of CCC clubs, one being Derby but Ive read many Leicester supporters say that you will more than likely lose Mattock. I think Mattock will definately go and your chairman hasnt defended any speculation like Bates has done with Delph. and I hope it stays that way.
hewittinspain Posted 15 November 2008 Author Posted 15 November 2008 Well lets see how you cope with Howard suspended. Let's see if you have very good back up. This is the time of year now when teams falter due to injuries/suspensions.

Koke Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 How's Alan Reject Sheehan doing? We don't win shit for being 2nd in November. Come back to us in May, and then we'll talk.
potter3 Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 If Beckford wanted to go he would have gone in the summer when higher teams were after him.Delph is not for sale. He does not wish to go nor will be sold. That's what he says
CosbehFox Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 We don't rely on strikers like you do. We have 3 league goals from Andy Robinson, 3 goals from Snodgrass, 5 goals from Delph already who are all midfielders as well as 9 from Beckford and 7 from Becchio. Pity no one told u that you are 3 points ahead of us (and here's the best bit..) with 90 points left to play for.!! If Leicester are in a different class to everyone else they would be ahead of the pack already by a mile like Wolves are in the CCC. You are about as good as the 6 teams around you. Im afraid the race is anyone's right now inc Millwall Mkdons, Leeds and Scu.nthorpe. No one is breaking away!! Im not surprised Fratt has scored a lot of goals in all competitions. Ive noticed you use him in league and cup games. We have the squad to change strikers around for cup games. Beckford never starts in a cup game. Fryatt does.!! Midfielders - we have Dyer on 7, Oakley on 3, King on 3. Covers that then. Robinson takes the penalties too. Whilst I agree with your analysis of the division. You forgot to mention Beckford's appearance against Chester in the CC? You know the game he started in and scored a hat-trick against one of the country's worst defences. Failed to mention his appearance on Tuesday night as well. Fryatt's been rested a couple of times in the cup competitions. Better strikers? Potentially NOBetter defence? Yes I agree with that Better midfielders, Definately NO Strikers. Currently yes....Fryatt heads the goalscoring list bar Lambert in the league. Defence. Currently yes.....best defence bar Stockport. Midfielders. Difficult to measure but I'll give ya that one. Well lets see how you cope with Howard suspended. Let's see if you have very good back up.This is the time of year now when teams falter due to injuries/suspensions. Howard misses a single game. Hardly season-threatening. I'd like to know whether we have decent back-up too.
Samilktray Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 Im with the Leeds fan on this, I laughed when whoever it was said Bechio n Beckford are useless... gladly take both of them. And I laughed at us being far superior to them.
Sods Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 If Beckford wanted to go he would have gone in the summer when higher teams were after him.Delph is not for sale. He does not wish to go nor will be sold. http://www.leedsunited.com/page/LatestNews...1451034,00.html Anyway let's see how the Scunny game goes before I comment further. I know who will be the winners though!! Oh for god sakes nobody gives a shit if Beckford goes or not or if Delph is up for sale. Why did you waste 90 minutes of your life listening to a league 1 game which has no relevance to you. As Leeds and Scunny have been promoted already havent they? I can't wait to beat Leeds, Boxing day 2-0. Bank Holiday we will go with 3-1.
Lillehamring Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 This is a team with NO manager and a team Leeds united beat 3-0 with only 10 of our players for 85 minutes only a few weeks ago when they had a manager.!! 1- having no manager doesn't mean you become rubbish, how many times have teams raised their game under a caretaker manager. 2- am i right in thinking that the player sent off was sheehan.... must have been a deveastating loss 3- perhaps swindon are a poor beatable team, but so are huddersfield and so were yeovil when you didn't beat them. If Leicester are in a different class to everyone else they would be ahead of the pack already by a mile like Wolves are in the CCC. You are about as good as the 6 teams around you.Im afraid the race is anyone's right now inc Millwall Mkdons, Leeds and Scu.nthorpe. No one is breaking away!! 4- if you believe that the majority of leicester fans think we are 'in a different class' you are a fool, reading one thread on FT that you have done will not give you the complete picture, most city fans are nervous and aprehensive and certainly do not belive that we are destined to go up automatically, we do know that we have a chance and our current position justifies such hope. 5- yes we are about as good as the teams around us, but considering that we are playing way below our potential, rebuilding from a dreadful last season and a period of managerial uncertainty, i can live with that. 6- you have to remember that leicester have never played at this level before, we don't really know what to expect, whereas leeds have had plenty of practice now, and really should be the ones 'ahead of the pack buy a mile', especially if the players are as godlike as you suggest

Overall no one is better than the other and although the fact is people say Leeds are too good for this division, Leicester too but the fact remains we are not. We are both here for a reason and it took me one season to realise our big clubs don't get a free pass back up, we have to work for it. Fryatt may have scored more goals, Howard is also a good player but you can't take anything from our two strikers either. I know a few current championship teams would snap them up straight away,as they would Howard/Fryatt. Lets remember Beckford has been injured with a hip problem and still hasn't recovered properly. I do know he can score over 20 goals in this division, he still will do and Becchio won't be far behind him either. At the end of the day if Leeds or Leicester were the best in the league then we would already be 5-6 points clear at the top and neither team is. Leeds dropped to 6th place yesterday but still remain only 4 points from top. This is how tight it is. 2 back to back draws from Scunny could easily put them down the table right now. I do expect Leeds and Leicester to be up there after 46 games but from a Leeds point of view the only area that has let us down is defence which after yesterday and the Derby game has let us down, both teams we battered posession wise and we made Derby look silly for 70 minutes of the game but came away with nothing. The games we have lost except Oldham we should have won so far and it has all been down to defence.Oldham is the only team we have played so far that played better than us. It was made clear after yesterday's game that we are finding 2 central defenders from a higher league asap.
SystonFox Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 this guys a serial cockmuncher he knows nothing of our club/manager/players. let him make his comments on how fryatt cant dance and how stevie howard wont win the x factor this year if it makes him happy. tunchev is a beast though.
Thracian Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 tunchev is a beast though. He might be but I'd still like to know who was supposed to be marking known dangerman Simon Cox?

Big Bad Fox Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 hewwitinspain, look.. i think there are some issues, vaguely related to football you need to sort out.. 1. who in their right mind would actually WANT to listen to another team in league 1.. seriously mate.. i think i can safely say none of us care about any other team in league 1, and wouldn't care at all about it it, if we wern't in it. 2. why are you a leeds fan, with 30+ posts on a leicester forum.. get your own forum 3. (related to football) how can you say that we dont have an equal, if not better midfield than you lot.. Oakley, Dyer and King all producing the goods ... go away.. i didnt aim this post at you in the first place.. and im sure on your crappy forums they constantly mock us about our form in the league, but you don't see us writing essays on our team, on your forum(s)
Big Bad Fox Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 and.. to clear another issue up, i went to the leeds game purely because i had free tickets in on of the 'boxes' , due to a friend being absent
Asha Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 and.. to clear another issue up, i went to the leeds game purely because i had free tickets in on of the 'boxes' , due to a friend being absent I know it's off topic, but what part of Evington do you live in?
