DJ Barry Hammond Posted 28 November 2008 Posted 28 November 2008 Why is Daggers taking on the whole leicester team anyway?
Joe. Posted 28 November 2008 Posted 28 November 2008 Henderson Edworthy (if Gilbert still isn't ready) Hobbs Tunchev Powell Gradel King Oakley Dyer Howard Fryatt Anybody shed any light as to when Gilbert might be back?
marbelladave Posted 28 November 2008 Posted 28 November 2008 Play the fringe players. Henderson, Hobbs and Powell, maybe one of the youngsters at right back. Davies (if fit), Adams, Kishishev or Porter in midfield DJ, Dickov if fit, Chambers if not. Don't necessarily start them all but giving some of them a run out in a competitive game in a competition we have no chance of doing well in is more important to me than starting the 'first XI' and trying for a cup run. Without regular competitive football we desperately need them to get some game time for when we do need them to step up, which will happen. I don't generally like the idea of treating the cup with such distain, but getting out of the poxy 3rd division is the only thing that matters!

RowlattsFox Posted 28 November 2008 Posted 28 November 2008 Leicester City will again be without goalkeeper Paul Henderson for the FA Cup second round clash against Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday. The Australian stopper had broken his way back into the starting 11 after losing his shirt to Liverpool loanee David Martin in August. But a groin strain kept the 32-year-old out of the City side that took on Crewe Alexandra in midweek - and boss Nigel Pearson confirmed that he would again be unavailable for the visit of the Daggers. He said: "Paul picked up a groin strain in our game against S****horpe last week. It looks like he is going to be out for another week or so, but it is not a long-term injury." Meanwhile, Pearson also revealed that he was waiting on the fitness of one or two unnamed players ahead of the tie. He added: "We picked up a few knocks in our game against Crewe on Tuesday night, so we will have a look at those players on Friday to check on their availability. But other than that we aren't too bad at the moment." And Pearson also said that he would not be taking the challenge of the League Two side lightly. "Any changes that I make to the side will be due to availability."

mkingy Posted 28 November 2008 Posted 28 November 2008 Defender Patrick Kisnorbo (knee) and keeper David Martin (groin) are still out so on-loan Liverpool keeper David Martin will remain between the posts. Looks like we've gone into cloning people. Shame we didn't clone Henderson ratehr than Martin?
