Katy Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 Ha, I knew there was a reason why I avoid this forum. I'm going to dig out my Smiths CD's and start listening to them again, I've neglected them recently. And Radiohead is always good, especially after Sing Star at the weekend.

You should never have buried them in the first place
Fosse Boy Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Never used to like them much but I've begun to appreciate Bloc Party a heck of a lot more recently.
Katy Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 You should never have buried them in the first place Ha, I didn't bury them as such, just had nothing to appreciate them on. I'm in the process of burning tunes from my cd's onto my laptop and then shoving them on my Ipod. New Years Day + The Smiths = Heaven
The People's Hero Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I've been all over Hot Chip again recently. It's driving me mum mad as she doesn't like them (and at 25 I still live with my mum!)
Katy Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I've been all over Hot Chip again recently. It's driving me mum mad as she doesn't like them (and at 25 I still live with my mum!) Me too....apart from the second bit.
Corky Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I've been all over Hot Chip again recently. It's driving me mum mad as she doesn't like them (and at 25 I still live with my mum!) Over and Over their best song d'ya reckon?
The People's Hero Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Over and Over their best song d'ya reckon? I don't really have a favourite song - all the albums hang together so well as a collection of songs though. Over and Over is a great track. This morning I've been all about No Fit State... but I'm about to listen to some of Made in the Dark.
Libertine Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I'm not a fan, but I loved their cover of Nothing Compare 2 U. I'd be very happy if someone could send it to me.
Katy Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Over and Over their best song d'ya reckon? I'm quite fond of Fall to the Floor actually.
Maybes Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 A follow up from the Laidback Luke Mix I posted on page 1. Swedish House Mafia Essential Mix 27/12/08 Similar sort of thing. Enjoy.

Finnegan Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 Surely nobody other than year 10s actually read the NME? Where's your obsession come from, Ash? It seems to be the buzz-word for you. Have you only just found it yourself and you're trying to test the waters to see if you should be embarrassed about it? I haven't read a music magazine in years. I used to buy X-Ray when it was new.
