Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Max carried off in tears - now how many people thought I was being stupid when I said we shouldn't risk players in this wank tourno? Players who would be good for the promotion push should not be risked for no reason - and this was so ****ing predictable! What a waste of ****ing effort this cup competition is. He has a point... (well no - anyone missing Max? )
Koke Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I think you'll find there's a massive difference between the FA Cup and that tin pot trophy. I wanna go as far as possible. If luck is on our side ala Derby and Burnley, we could find ourselves in the quarter finals and then we'll all start dreaming.

Thracian Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 He has a point... (well no - anyone missing Max? ) For saying how little he's played yes, he's been a complete waste of space! Personally I hope he tells Pearson he wants out. It will be exactly what fans like you deserve. http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/Assi...0274~25,00.html

Corky Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I want to reach the final, I want us to win every game we play. Realistically though, I think the 4th Round is where we go out gracefully.
Finchy Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I'll be disappointed if we go out on Saturday, i'm hoping realistically for the 5th round or something, just want a nice tie against a local derby then a big team.
DBEightyFive Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I will also be very disappointed if we get beaten on Saturday after Palace's poor run recently. We'll get a top 4 Premiership team in 4th Round and that'll be the end of that.
Finchy Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I'd rather win the FA Cup than get promoted I would too, but it's not happening
Tilley Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Hope we lose Saturday. A 1-0 loss after a controversial penalty or something like that. **** the cup, we're never going to win it. We don't need lots of Tuesday night matches.
Zingari Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 a good FA cup run never hurts ; well apart from 1969 maybe

Bluefoxtim Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Hope we lose Saturday. I can never understand how any fan can say that.

He's got Cristiano Ronaldo's petulance, it's just a shame he doesn't have anywhere near the ability. I want him to succeed here despite my sounding off against him, but it just hasn't worked for him this season no matter what stats you throw up.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Couldn't give a flying f... about the cup. Lets just get out of this division then worry about cup glory. Don't get me wrong i want us to compete with 'better' clubs and progress but each game brings a possibility of injury etc and i just don't want that to jeopardise our chance of promotion. L.T.I.D
lildave3 Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I'd rather win the FA Cup than get promotion, but that's not going to happen is it so I don't really mind.
maddog Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 The Fa Cup is the most exciting competition of the season. Theres always great matches, giant killings, shocks, thrills, spills and replays. I hate it when we are not in the Fa Cup draw and you watch thinking i wish we were still in and i hate when we don't play on Fa Cup weekend because we are out. I want us to go as far as possible, ive been to 2 quarter finals watching leicester, both losses. My dream is reaching the semi-finals like we should have done and all expected when we were at home to Wycombe.

Bravo on the rest of the post though,my sentiments exactly. We'll finally be allowed triangular corner flags if we ever win the Cup.

Uncle Albert Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 I would love another cup run. Last season's Carling Cup run was brilliant late winners and late heartbreaks are what the Cup is all about and they are some of the most enjoyable games of the season. People may say 'fuck the cup run' but them nights at Craven Cottage, The City Ground, Villa Park and Stamford Bridge are nights I know I certainly wont forget. The F.A Cup is stuff of dreams and seeing your team in the F.A Cup is a different buzz I think. What I would give for an F.A Cup tie at Stoke.

Chelsea away was one of my favourite ever away days. Heroic.
Tilley Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Rather win the FA Cup instead of getting promoted? No thanks.
