surrifox Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 don't like colin, don't like jordan , don't like palace so win this one please
Asha Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Rather win the FA Cup instead of getting promoted? No thanks. I can understand why that's been said, but I agree with you. I'd definately rather we got promoted.
Number 6 Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 I wouldn't be too gutted if we lost tomorrow. I obviously want us to win, it's important to keep up a winning mentality and show people what we can do, but realistically our 1 target this season is promotion.
davieG Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Nige wants to win it! From OS City boss Nigel Pearson says he is keen for his side to keep their momentum going in the right direction when they face Crystal Palace in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday (3pm). The Foxes go into the contest on the back of eight back-to-back home victories - a run that has helped them to the top of the League One table. And Pearson believes it is important that his side keep that run going when they come up against Neil Warnock's men this weekend. He said: "The weekly pressure of the league and the expectations of us being at the top is something that we can put to one side for a week. "But having said that, we have got some momentum behind us and that is something that we want to maintain. It is a game that we want to win. There are financial implications for us as well, which are also important. "It will be a difficult game. Palace are on a decent run and Neil has got a good track record. "I would expect it to be a very tough game for us, but it is one that we are looking forward to and also one that we will be trying to win. "Just as with any of Neil's sides, they will be difficult to beat. They will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. "But this is a cup game and it gives us the opportunity to play against a side from the division that we aspire to play in. Even though it is just a one off it gives us a chance to see where we are at." Bulgarian international defender Alex Tunchev was unavailable for last week's League One victory over Hereford United, while Matty Fryatt limped out of the contest at half-time. Pearson added: "We will give both players every opportunity to prove their fitness ahead of the game. We shall have to wait and see."
Ashley Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 I wouldnt mind going on a cup run in the FA Cup, it would be nice to beat Palace tomorrow and get a 'Big' team in the next round.
StanSP Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Yes, cup runs are all well and good, but isn't the promotion push have more priority?? I hope we beat Palace though on Saturday. But in contrast to what someone said earlier, I'd rather have promotion than an FA Cup run.

lildave3 Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Rather win the FA Cup instead of getting promoted? No thanks. I would. All day, every day.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 I want to go all the way, baby. Won't happen though.
Corky Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Our best chance in recent years to win this was 2001. We aren't going to do it in the near future.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Rather win the FA Cup instead of getting promoted? No thanks. I would. All day, every day. 1949, 1961, 1964, 1969. All will be forgotten in '09, as we ascend the Wembley steps. The blue and white ribbons are already on the Cup. This year, I can feel it. :scarf: Winning the Cup > Promotion
Sods Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Its the Fa Cup for christ sake. Go for it, like ive said before, the more games I get to see the more laughs I have. I would love us to beat Palace especially away in the 120th minute.
Joe. Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 It's a great competition, and one that I thoroughly enjoy us being in. I'd like us to go as far as possible, I don't see why it should mess up our league campaign too much.

I would love us to beat Palace especially away in the 120th minute. Exactly. It's probably the second biggest club competition in the world and having Leicester in it is class. F.A Cup weekend is brilliant for once it means the whole of English football is a one for 1 weekend of the season. Class.
Tevez Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 What we got to lose? 4-2-4 with Verma in the middle for me.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 What we got to lose?4-2-4 with Verma in the middle for me. That could be fun to watch!
rmc Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 What we got to lose?4-2-4 with Verma in the middle for me. yeah let's go mental put pearson in the back line too
DB11 Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 I hate it when we are not in the Fa Cup draw and you watch thinking i wish we were still in and i hate when we don't play on Fa Cup weekend because we are out. Especially when you see the team who beat you get Man Utd / Liverpool / Chelsea
