Lazy and slow, waste of a million quid. Considering he only made about 160 pro starts in his career, he probably made a nice living out of the game for doing bugger all.

Blyth is an absolute shithole. Normally I'd be rooting for the underdogs, but I hope Blackburn put fourteen past them.

Leicester's answer to Winston Bogarde :D

What about Julian Watts or Darren Eadie?

Julian wasn't that bad and Eadie was a sick note. They weren't bad players like Fenton.

I thought Watts was a pretty decent player. Eadie was also good, again flashes of brilliance, and super quick, but always injured.

When you compare these players to the worst players brought in under the next regime (Akinbiyi, Lewis, Davidson, ...) they look good in comparison.

Watts was Ok.

Eadie showed glimpses, but was always injured.

If memory serves me right he was injured a lot at Norwich as well, and I was a bit surprised at the time at the sum we paid for him

Yes he was. Shame really, he could have been a top player.

I remember Mr Fenton very well... not so much for the displays of brilliance on the field, far from it, it was more for drinking about 5 pints a night down at a local pub (which will remain nameless) that I used to work for.

He was a nice guy, shit attitude towards the 'professional' game though.

Also many you are right... he didn't get on with MON. I have a vague memory of them having an argument during a game, MON shouting from the dugout and Fenton shouting back stood on the pitch. Not the greatest thing to do if you're after a regular place in the team!

His body didn't much work when he was with us, let alone now. Always injured. A purple patch for Fenton was coming on with five minutes left and not getting crocked. Not a player that will go down in our history as anywhere near approaching half decent.

He was fat and rubbish. One of our worst players, worse than Tony Spearing if anyone remembers him.

Lee Marshall was appalling.

He slagged MON off in front of many players including Elliott and Lenny which didn't go down well and was pulled in line by the other team members. Don't think this helped his cause for a place in the team. Was told that by a first team player of the time and put my foot in it once talking about it in the players bar stood next to his family. Whoops!
