that's a pretty varied line up but one thing springs to mind V Festival constantly the most boring of all the festivals the line up is always about as bland as it gets so just out of interest why this one? instead of say Isle of Wight, Download, Reading, T in the Park, Rockness and so on

Pendulum in Doncaster will be mental saw The Cribs at the Dome on Saturday and thought it would insane when The Prodigy play there in January so Pendulum would be similar I would take some earplugs to that one!! nice venue though

are they the things jason newstead's mum invented, because metallica (the members there of) were going deaf? i seem to remember hearing something about that a few years back. they(the earplugs) had to reduce the volume, but had to maintain the pitch....or something.

that's the idea what damages your hearing is the top and bottom levels of the sound, if you are a proper musician you can have them molded to fit for about £150 these cost about £20 they are brilliant I have had to much gigage over the years and my ears ring anyway and after Spiritualized in June when I really couldn't hear anything for about 5days I thought to my self this really can't be good..

so got these what they do is tone down the distortion and volume slightly by filtering out the levels that damage your hearing and to be honest they actually improve the sound everything is far more clear they are brilliant after the gig you can hear perfectly they actually make it better imo.

I love music and going to gigs and really don't want to get to the point where I have to stop.

these are highly recommended

went V this year and it was great it wasnt bland at all. The killers and oasis headliners! Biffy clyro, athlete, pendulum, and some more as support. Was thinking of going isle of white but mates prefered V. I am planning on going download with my gf but depends on if i get tickets

just seen the mighty iron maiden are playing sonisphere. get in

:chant::chant::D:D

Get in! It's worth entering the competition on Sonisphere's website, you are almost guarenteed two tickets upon entering.

Paramore last night was pretty good, I think persuading Hayley Williams to come to Leyton Orient with me failed epicly though.

Nope, the UK one.

About 20% of the crowd last year had free tickets, about 70% of those that entered the competitions got tickets. They're doing this the first couple of years to get people going to the gigs.

Saw the Pogues last night at Sheffield O2. Quality gig it was. I think i prefer Sheffield to Birmingham O2 arena.

Just got back from seeing them in brum, fooking brilliant night. £3.70 a pint is steep though!

Bet they didn't run out of bloody Guinness like they did in Sheffield! How the bloody hell can you sell all the Guinness?

On a side note, sat with one of Wednesdays 'Boys' in the pub afterwards. He was quite funny and gave me a good insight into the history between the pigs and the owls.

Back on subject, going to see the Dropkick Murphy's again in April.

The Buzzcocks tonight at Ryde Theatre.

Probably play Smuts' song!

I had a pete shelley signed condom "Pete shelley - orgasm addict" it said... with a framed picture of him writing on said condom, i sold it for £15 quid at my lowest point of skint-hood, how i wish i'd held on to that :(
