Talk about selective journalism. I also wonder if Sir Anthony Bamford worth an estimated £2 billion will have to return his knighthood due to his (dis)services to industry From what I've heard and read about JCB they'll be seriously pissed off to shed staff. How many people has that firm kept in employment and for how many years? And how much tax has it paid in that time - tax that would have helped do significant things for our country like building hospitals. And how much has JCB done for our reputation around the world while the likes of Tony Blair and his pal George Bush have been shredding it? I'd say the JCB founder was far more entitled to his reward that any self-serving perks-and-expenses-grabbing politician. This class envy of the so-called rich makes me sick. I wish the country were full of innovators, producers and achievers like the founder of JCB. What do you think has paid for the relatively caring society we've become apart from industry and ideas? I suppose you'd run your business for free - as a kind of social service! Or do you/will you rely on someone else to give you work and hold your hand?
