Alexikokopops Posted 18 September 2009 Posted 18 September 2009 I can't believe you've published my surname on this forum, MARSH.Actually that reminds me, when you first added me on Facebook I really believed that your name was Badger-Marsh. Marsh-Badger, please To be fair you're not the only one, haha
James. Posted 18 September 2009 Posted 18 September 2009 Well it is a slight worry! Will need to do some serious training if the plan is 50 laps or something. I'm trying to put weight on not loose it! My original idea was to do 25 laps which worked out at about 5 miles. However I'm thinking it may be best to just let people do as many as they want, with a maximum of 25. Either way it's not a massive distance but should be enough so people think it's worthy of sponsorship... all these details need to be ironed out with Birchenall though, for now it's all about just getting people to sign up.

Right so you are looking at a minimum of£12,500 donation (check the maths) It would be interesting to know how much Birch raises each year and how that figure compares.

Yeah, £12,500 was the minimum I was looking to aim for. Obviously if people can raise more than £100 then they should (I raised over £1,000 when I did the Windsor half marathon last year). No idea how much Birchenall raises although I think they announced it at the last game against Blackpool at half time if anyone remembers...

Problem is I'm running the Paris Marathon less than a month before the last game of the season. Who's going to sponsor me twice in the space of a month?!?!

lou Posted 18 September 2009 Posted 18 September 2009 If you mean the cheap seats and the bald headed moaning old git then yeh that's me .I'm usually there with my lad, not Vålerenga, the other one - he doesn't post on here though. If you see me at the Preston game say hello - you'll have to say who you are though. I don't know who I'll be with it wont be with my lad he's off to Thailand. Valerenga is your Son?! Tbh I'd probably be a disappointment to you. When people read my posts they always imagine I'm 6 foot tall, muscular, witty, charming and rakishly handsome. The truth is I'm only 5'11''. My original idea was to do 25 laps which worked out at about 5 miles. I can probably run about 5 yards! Im gonna get training then.... not going to be the unfittest one there, no way!

Fosse Boy Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 Saw a few lads off here I've met already at Watford. Was stood behind Lovejoy for about twenty seconds before the stewards moved us on. Also think I spotted Raj although I wasn't near enough to say hello, and if Granno has a shirt with Granno - 9 on the back then I saw him too.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 20 September 2009 Posted 20 September 2009 I met Nussul and Granno earlier. I have a very funny feeling that the guy behind me shouting Pearson out quite a few times is off this forum. It was funny but he kept going on and i was starting to be unsure as to weather or not he was joking. I may have seen LD3 in the Beer Garden part of that pub because there was a fairly small lad holding a Fenerbache shirt.

Yeah, think you were in a circle of people but I didn't recognise too many people. Just remembered for some reason that you like Fenerbache.

Saw loads of FTers in the ground (in addition to the ones we met in Spoons) spotted Granno too and LD3 stood at the front at half time, and whoever it was who said they have Teve 9 on the back of his shirt I saw too. (Cant remember who you are though ) - literally everywhere I looked was FTers. LCFC ARAB I take it you moved seats because the ppl we had behind us were middle aged men?

lou Posted 20 September 2009 Posted 20 September 2009 Should have gave me a little wave like davieG and Thracian did. I doubt youd have seen me Apparently I missed seeing Thracian who walked out of Spoons when I had my back to the door but we apparently parked a few spaces from his car in the school car park according to Bilo. So close and yet so far

Fosse Boy Posted 20 September 2009 Posted 20 September 2009 Makes sense Me and ARAB spotted you only briefly at half time. You were standing above the exit to the concourse with someone so if they post on here we saw them too, whoever they are.
