Fosse Boy Posted 26 February 2009 Author Posted 26 February 2009 That bit of bowling was old school windies!! Hopefully they'll do a bit more of that and become a mighty force on the world stage again (apart from against England obviously). What does everyone reckon to Adidas bats by the way? Pietersen's looks like the edges haven't been knocked in properly.
Corky Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Great day for England, in a really strong position now so let's take advantage of it.
Fox You Forest Posted 27 February 2009 Posted 27 February 2009 Ambrose making it very interesting if what they say about Prior being promised his place back when he returns is true.
Fosse Boy Posted 27 February 2009 Author Posted 27 February 2009 553-5 at tea. You'd back them to declare when ( ) Ravi gets his century.
David O'Leary Posted 27 February 2009 Posted 27 February 2009 ENG: 600-6d. Bopara 104, Ambrose 76no. WI: 3-0.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 27 February 2009 Posted 27 February 2009 Australia are just getting them selves back in form for the ashes While you lot of spuds will lose to the Windes

Milky Posted 28 February 2009 Posted 28 February 2009 The way they're doing this referal system is a complete joke. What a mess. Apparently it's not as simple as the 3rd umpire saying that's out, or not out, the final decision is made by the on-field umpire after discussing certain things they're unsure about. Chanderpaul was given out lbw when the ball was clealy going over the top. Why didn't the 3rd umpire just say that!? It sounds like the on-field umpire wasn't interested in discussing height, or something. Who knows what they're playing at.
Ashley Posted 28 February 2009 Posted 28 February 2009 I spied a City flag on TV just now. I seen this aswell, next to the Luton one wasnt it?

Accept the human error element of umpiring the game and let's get on with it.
Ultra Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 The England bowling attack looks p!sspoor. With or without Flintoff and Harmison, it's hard to see how it can take 20 Australian wickets in a Test.
Corky Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 The England bowling attack looks p!sspoor. With or without Flintoff and Harmison, it's hard to see how it can take 20 Australian wickets in a Test. Maybe we should risk Simon Jones in the Ashes? Long shot I know.
Ultra Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 If Jones can ever stay fit for more than two weeks at a time, I'd be tempted. Especially with the first Ashes Test being at Cardiff this year. If he isn't fired up for that, he never will be.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 They may as well pack up now and head to Trinidad for the final test, this test has been dead in the water for a while now.

Ultra Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 A couple of early wickets tomorrow, and we could collapse again. This has to be the worst England tour in a decade. Good job we're not playing Bangladesh any time soon so we can't embarass ourselves even further.
Brainy Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Worst England tour? First test, yeah fine. Third test, we dominated, perhaps made a few wrong calls which cost us the game, and here, it's a bowlers graveyard. What is the pitch at Trinidad like?
