Fox You Forest Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 Another 1 or 2 tonight would be great. Yes then Broad.
Milky Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 So frustrating. Even more so considering the time i think we've wasted.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 We're in a bit of a mess now. I know it's all well me saying this because of the benefit of hindsight, but I can never understand why captains sometimes do not force the follow-on. Harmison and Flintoff may have need to rest a little after we bowled them out, but for me going back into bat just alleviates the pressure of the opposition and saps your own momentum. I'm still confident of victory, but this partnership must be broken before lunch.
Corky Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Hindsight says Strauss should've made them follow-on. Very frustrating.
SamL Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Hindsight says Strauss should've made them follow-on.Very frustrating. Considering the circumstances, I think Strauss made the right decision by not enforcing the follow on. Could we have coped with Flintoff and Harmison both struggling? I doubt it. I can't see us winning this Test Match now if I'm honest, we don't look like getting a wicket any time soon. Fair play to Sarwan and Chanderpaul though, they've played well.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Only England could score well over 500 first innings run and fail to win, any other team would have enforced the follow-on and had the match wrapped up on day four.
Fox You Forest Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 It would be nice, Just once to see a bowler friendly pitch in the West Indies instead of the dull flat shit they always serve up.

SamL Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Chanderpaul has gone, bowled Broad caught Prior. The second new ball has really done the trick for us, well played to Stuart Broad for some good bowling.
SamL Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 7 down, 3 to go. We're at a slight disadvantage with Flintoff off the pitch with an injury but still, it's doable.
Corky Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Eight down now. 20 overs to go. Come on, finish it and level the series
Ultra Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 God, this is tense - almost as bad as following Leicester City..
