Milky Posted 7 February 2009 Posted 7 February 2009 Goodness me  Didn't get to see any of it sadly.
purpleronnie Posted 7 February 2009 Posted 7 February 2009 Its not been the best of days. Cant win them all I guess. Can only get better.
Brainy Posted 7 February 2009 Posted 7 February 2009 Where's David Lloyd been? Is he on the tour or have I missed him?
Nationwider Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 Oh good god. What have they done? I didn't see it so it might just be the case that Jerome Taylor became better than Dennis Lillee overnight, but outstanding West Indies performance aside, there is something quite wrong inside the England camp at the moment. Mooresgate, IPL, Stamford, jellybeans etc etc.... and this circus carries on while the ECB boss stands unopposed for election. English cricket really does enjoy knackering itself from the top downwards and once again the end product on the pitch suffers.
Ultra Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 The pitch was p!sspoor. But that's NO excuse for a score of just 51. The greedy fcukwits were too busy worrying about which IPL side they'd play for to prepare properly for this series. The ECB should tell Pietersen and Flintoff to fcuk off to India now, and bring in players whose first loyalty is to the shirt. And chosen men such Bell and Pansear should be brought home NOW. They clearly aren't up to Test cricket at the moment.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 Oh god and i thought we were struggling and then you guys pull out a 51 Hand over the ashes now please, save us all the time and so the players don't need to spend a pointless 3 months away from there familys.
Ultra Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 Tickets for the Ashes Tests are being sold at up to £75 PER DAY. How much of a happy-clappy BDF would you have to be to buy one?
Salieri Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 Just seen the result. OMG, the laughing stock of the cricketing world after that debacle surely! Whoever forked all that money out for Flintoff and Pietersen must be wondering that maybe it would have been better spent elsewhere. Australia must be quakng in their boots in anticipation of the forthcoming Ashes series!
Corky Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 This is a potentially damaging long-term result. 51 all out, against an attack that is second tier of Test cricket, is disgraceful.
Brainy Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 If any of them had bothered trying to steady the ship then we might have reached 100. You could see them all eager to get off the pitch once they'd got out, not surprising but disgraceful.

They clearly aren't up to Test cricket at the moment. If Flintoff was discarded then England may as well fly home, he is head and shoulders above the rest of the bowling attack with only Broad coming close to matching his effectiveness. Agree about Bell and Panesar, I'd discard Collingwood too if an able replacement is found. All three simply don't add anything to the squad anymore, Bell and Collingwood offer no substance to the batting line-up and Panesar isn't clever enough to get wickets and is now proving to be very much a one-hit wonder. Graeme Swann and Owais Shah must be absolutely baffled as to why they cannot dislodge these incompetent players. Australia are having a torrid time themselves but I'm sure they're affording time to having a bloody good laugh at England.
Bert Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 I wonder if this game will be as much as an anti-climax as the last one.
Ultra Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 Looks like this test is going to be abandoned after just TEN BALLS.. The Windies have got some explaining to do.
welck12 Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 They should just change it to a beach cricket match, problem solved
Fosse Boy Posted 13 February 2009 Author Posted 13 February 2009 What a fcuking farce. Maybe they could move the game to the Stanford Stadium or somewhere?
welck12 Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 Day ones just been abandoned. No news on if moving game or whats happening just yet
Corky Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 What a farce. It is quite clear that the run-up, which they seem to have ignored during the preparations, is unfit and unsafe. Hopefully it can be moved to the ARG.
Fosse Boy Posted 13 February 2009 Author Posted 13 February 2009 I think they should all just bowl off breaks for five days.
Corky Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 I think they should all just bowl off breaks for five days. Where's Ashley Giles when you need him?
Fosse Boy Posted 13 February 2009 Author Posted 13 February 2009 Where's Ashley Giles when you need him? Sod him. Get crafty Crofty out of the studio and on a plane I say!
Corky Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 Sod him. Get crafty Crofty out of the studio and on a plane I say! Crofty, Vaughany can bowl some slow stuff, Gilo and Phil Tufnell too. Sorted
Fosse Boy Posted 13 February 2009 Author Posted 13 February 2009 Crofty, Vaughany can bowl some slow stuff, Gilo and Phil Tufnell too.Sorted We should definitely be on the selection committee. I'd also additionally like to pick Matt Brimson, Carl Crowe and Jason Brown.
Fosse Boy Posted 13 February 2009 Author Posted 13 February 2009 Chris Gayle can even make boring press conferences cool. Hero.
