Fox You Forest Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Worst England tour?First test, yeah fine. Third test, we dominated, perhaps made a few wrong calls which cost us the game, and here, it's a bowlers graveyard. What is the pitch at Trinidad like? I'll be amazed if it's anything other than flat, It's getting a little boring.
dandannieldanok Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 What is the pitch at Trinidad like? Supposed to have a bit more life in it, and apparently the weather hasn't been great there so that may help it throw up some bounce and movement. If it's anything like this pitch, England may as well just fly home and spend their time doing something more productive (i.e anything ).
Milky Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 This is a result pitch. I'm confident. Unless it rains of course.
Corky Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 West Indies have no intention of winning this match. Nash bowling most overs? They just want the draw and we need to up the run rate.

They've parked the team bus in front of the goal! This is turgid, and an embarrassment to West Indies cricket. If the WI greats were dead, they'd be rolling in their graves! A white west indian, bowling at 70mph is the front line man
welck12 Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 A white west indian, bowling at 70mph is the front line man That has got to be one of the funniest sights i've ever seen in sport; definatly up there with the "irish" clinton morrison

Going at 2.5 runs per over, when we need to win, isn't good.
Milky Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 But we aren't helping ourselves, Shah can't time the ball at all. Going at 2.5 runs per over, when we need to win, isn't good. True, but it's not easy trying to break a team down with 11 men behind the ball.
Milky Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 The umpire just had a shocker. Gave KP out LBW to Nash, but the ball pitched miles outside! Referal system works this time.
Fox You Forest Posted 9 March 2009 Posted 9 March 2009 If that's not an edge i don't know what is, This referral system is useless.
Wycombe Fox Posted 9 March 2009 Posted 9 March 2009 Another crushing defeat on the cards. Close of play 80 for 3, effectively 82 for 3 taking into account the first innings lead.

You really don't know what you're talking about do you. That 80 came off just 15 overs. They've been picking up the pace so we can declare as early as possible. Only 90 overs left in the game, so they'll probably hit out again in the morning and declare with 60 overs left. That'll dangle a carrot to the WI, ideally with a lead of 230 or something. It's a very, very long shot, but we'll be having a crack and risk the 2-0 defeat.
Fox You Forest Posted 9 March 2009 Posted 9 March 2009 Anyone watching the England v India womens world cup game.
Corky Posted 9 March 2009 Posted 9 March 2009 The referral system has to go. Chanderpaul was out earlier, he was virtually walking off the pitch and then wanted the referral. A good five minutes later the verdict came back with a not out. The umpires may make mistakes, but I'd rather have that than this undermining of their authority. Let's hope we can get to a good score at lunch, then try and bowl them out in the last two sessions.
Wycombe Fox Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 You really don't know what you're talking about do you. Harsh but probably true I hadn't considered the fact that it's the last test, we need to win to draw the series and that it's probably better to go down fighting than just surrender with a wimper. That said, 80 runs in 15 overs??? Pah! Useless tw*ts!
purpleronnie Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Good start but has to be the most boring test series for a long time. And we're going to lose which makes all the hours I've watched a complete waste of my time - wont have that problem tomorrow I'll be back in the states and cricket doesnt seem to be very high on the sporting agenda. Silly yanks. )

purpleronnie Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Yep this is the best bit so far at least we're having a go. I actually wish we should have maybe tried this sort of batting in the first innings I know that would be really risky but we had little to lose.
RowlattsFox Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Great start, 2 wickets down, 8 to go. Surely we can't actually win this
David O'Leary Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Sarwan gone. 7 to go. Saw a Forest flag and a Leicester flag right next to each other earlier
SamL Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 What a game this is turning out to be. West Indies are 5 down and need 155 to win with 29 overs left. Come on England.
