I don't like calling you Tilley. It ain't right.

I believe I saw young Dixon tonight. I hope it was him, or I put my thumb up to a random stranger. Who also put his thumb up.

You did see Sam, nearly late as usual.

Where do you sit down the Walkers?

Of course I would return it. I had a similar thing happen to me at the Foxton Lock pub last year. Someone handed my wallet in and as soon as I realised it was gone I phoned the pub (last place I had used it) and they said yeah, someone had handed it in.

I'd have returned it. I'm not the world's most 'moral' person, but in that situation I'd have felt bad about not doing so.

If I found 'anonymous' (ie 'dropped') money on the street though - like fook would I hand it in to a police station!

I lost my wallet last night,

i was going insane because it had everything in, £100, national insurance card, bank card everything

and this chinese bloke came round my house today and brought it back

he didn't take anything,

top bloke!

if you found it, would you have returned it?

Of course!

How can one not return something to its rightful owner?

Perhaps you should be a bit more careful with your thumbing up.

Or at least do so more sparingly

It's easy to just say "I'd have took it" but in that situation I don't think I'd have been able to :P

I reckon I'd have given it back

Yes. I found a purse once, and made a real effort to find the rightful owner.

Unfortunately the slag who found my purse when I misplaced it decided to help herself to all the cash in it. I hope she enjoyed her night out at my expense and then later choked to death on her own vomit.

I saved a Hedgehog from an imminent squashing one night on the way home from a club. It was in the middle of the A444 so I went and picked it up, took it to the side of the road and put it in the bushes at side of road. I then started worrying because I wasn't sure if I'd put it on the side of the road it was heading for and wondered if it would have to attempt the whole crossing once again.

I probably wouldn't have returned it directly but I may have handed it into the Police or something - And despite there being cards in your wallet (With your name and address presumably - This is how the bloke knew where to go to return it to you) the Police would have waited for you to come an enquire/report it missing anyway, And I doubt you would have gone to the police to see if anyone had handed it in or to report it missing would you? :dunno:

And when you hand things into the Police don't they say if it hasn't been collected after so long it is your if you want it?

You have done a good dead with the likelyhood you can claim it anyway :dunno:

I had a bit of a good gesture towards me a few years ago I don't know how the story goes was a few years ago i've forgot, basically I was on holiday in Jersey and I went to the beach and lost my Phone, It must have fell out my pocket or something, and I realised later I had lost it, I was abit gutted but just thought i've lost it bit of a pain in the arse but got on with it, anyway the next morning my mum got a call on her mobile saying it was at the Police station, someone had handed it in, the police/or the person who handed it in went through my phonebook and found my mums mobile number and let us know they had handed it in. Nice People.

Yeah but returning it via the police (or something) is bound to take longer.

And it may ehmmm somehow "go missing".

After all, my brother's bank managed to "lose" his proof of address (original bills) as well as a photocopy of his passport!

Who the bloody hell takes their National Insurance out with them? Does it give you free happy meals or something?

I haven't even seen mine in years...

Ironic that. A few weeks ago I'd forgotten it was a rugby/football weekend and found my usual car park at the Chinese supermarket full.

I decided to try my luck and see if the guy could find somewhere for a regular.

As I approached the car park entrance another driver was leaving.

He wound down his window to say the only place he could park was in front of other vehicles but that, to do so, would mean entrusting his car keys to the Chinese guy who ran the place so that he could manouevre the vehicle within the car park according to whoever needed to leave after the match.

Put simply he didn't trust the bloke.

Delighted, I parked up and handed over my keys. The car, complete with keys, was safe and sound when I returned - and nicely parked up in its own space.

PS: As for your wallet of course I'd return it. What sort of lowlife wouldn't?

Id of definetly been 100 boys up.
