Or at least did not want the side to be completely weakened towards the end if managers have asked for players to only play 45 etc. So Lamps, Rio, Young etc etc will come one without the side weakening, but in fact getting strongers as the game goes on. better way to do it I think.

As I say above though, O'Neill may have said he can only play 45 (understandable considering how important he is to Villa) and so will hopefully come on at HT although I think I would have still preferred Milner to Downing. Or Phil Neville for that matter.
