I dont know why people bother to reply to this tool who is more bothered about some shitty MLS team. Even I dont bother replying to him. We have one of the best European squads around and we also have one of the best fanbases in the World so I dont see why we cant go out to South Africa next year and kick some arse. IF we can get a top form Rooney, Ferdinand and Gerrard then I think we are one of the best teams in the competition. Yes, yes I know we have to qualify first but we will. England should play 4-2-3-1. Will get the best out of Gerrard and Rooney. Agreed, England have got the players and one of the best managers in the world. Our fanbase is probally the best in the world, I bet England will have the most fans at South Africa in 2010 aside from South Africa of course. All the tools are there for this to be our time to go all the way. Last night for me meant nothing because we were missing key players and also was a friendly and i'm sure last night was more of a few lessons learnt rather then a loss.

England were shaky and at spells looked good. Defensive errors lead to the 2 goals, Spain had most of the possession and they passed it about without threatening most of the time. I think at South Africa 2010 England have about as good as chance as anybody to win and I will be supporting them, not anyone else.

I've said that the talent is there, clearly, and that Capello just needs to find the method that gets the best out of some of the under performers. If he can get England performing as a unit, with the talent they have, why shouldn't they be considered contenders? They've shown that they can produce some brilliant football in the qualifiers. Moron. I agree and do think that as long as we just keep it together and qualify, a full strength England can regard themselves as contenders. If you look at Euro 2008 bar Spain I would have fancied England to seriously compete with any of the teams there (obviously under Capello and not McLaren). Don't forget we've not long beaten the losing finalists in there own back yard with once again a slightly patched up team. Obviously it is a world cup but I would only really worry about Argentina and Brazil from the rest of the world. Maybe it's just blind optimism talking like this, but as long as Capello continues to win games (only Spain and us have 100% records) then why can't we have hope.
