The Mrs finally starting to feel better after 2 or 3 months of being poorly with different things floats me boat. She was in hospital for 6 hours on Crimbo day and had a few shots of Morphine and tests and shiz. Very upsetting.

But now I can see signs of her being back to her normal self and she is feeling much better :D High Five.

Also, unpacking the Crimbo present bag we brought home from families. I've got some lovely Argyle socks and some Armani Mania which is quite snazzy. Not had any aftershave for years. Crackerjack.

all the best to senora empty

Muchas Gracias :D

The amount of 180's flying in in the darts is floating me boat. Bit gutted Dennis looks like he's going out but I like Anderson so that's cushioned the blow a bit.

:D This supposed comment from the page 3 girl in today's Sun.

ROSIE was staggered that the Shadow Chancellor couldn’t remember the employer’s rate of national insurance. She said: “Ed Miliband would do well to remember the sage words of French philosopher Voltaire, ‘I can protect myself from my enemies, may God protect me from my friends’.

I know we shouldn't assume that they're all thick because they get their thrupennies out, but Voltaire?

lol Yeah I can just imagine Rosie down the gym on the jogging machine looking over to Susie saying "Ya know Susie, I'm staggered that the Shadow Chancellor can't remember the employers rate of National Insurance. He'd do well to remember the words of Voltaire".

am i the only one that can't understand the relevance of Rosie's Voltaire quote ?

or is that the point ?

I assumed it was just me being stupid.

phew that's a relief

if you can't get the relevance either, then i don't feel so bad about it :)

You're obviously not a page 3 girl.

Presumably; Milliband gave Alan Jonson the job and AJ has dropped a bollox therefore damaging his "friend"Mr Milliband.

When goalkeepers have the ball in their hands and then realise there's a player behind them and so pull the ball in, look around nervously and cradle it like it's the sole surviving baby after a nuclear holocaust.

Was a toss up between this and 'grinds my gears', but decided it's actually proper cute.

Ah yes , I see

It still seems a bit tenuous though

I don't think the original quote was meant to refer to the ineptitude of one's friends , but to their possible treachery ( such as Iago to Othello ,Brutus to Caesar etc)

ie . beware of betrayal and backstabbing

I could be wrong though and am prepared bow down to Rosie :)

the fact that my exam yesterday gave questions in which i had to rant about the amount footballers get paid and politicians. Beautiful.

Ha, i referenced Leicester about 4 times in that exam. I did those two questions and also the Stereotype one and basically ranted on about how women should not be scientists and should be kept in their kitchens.

Don't have a fit ladies i didn't really.

lol - nothing better than being examined on your ability to rant.

edit: Except being examined on your ability to queue properly - an exam most would fail.

Yar, twas shite.

Haha I remember doing an exam like that, it was pretty much a competition to see who could get the strangest quote in an essay question, I thought I'd won at Morrissey with "all the lazy dykes" but got beaten by somebody quoting Basil Brush after he had made a joke about Gypsy folk on a kids programme.

Never got the point of general studies? Is there any reason for it?

Majority of uni's say that grades for general studies do not count towards any decision process :/

Hah, until you realise your exam paper is being marked by a woman. Not so smart, now, eh?! :P:devil:

A fit... me...? Nah, never!
