The People vs The Banksters

Be honest James, you were googling "snowballing banker videos" weren't you?

Yes I was but then I decided to narrow my search to "wannabe anarchists acting like ignorant arseholes throwing snow at ABN Amro employees when they thought they were attacking RBS employees and even if they were RBS employees what the f**k gives them the right or justification (apart from not understanding anything to do with anything) to throw snow at them".

Well I've got a quote you might appreciate.

"The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent full of doubt." - Bertrand Russell.

Of course, I'm not sure of that!

The main geezer from the snowballers is so fooking jarring. His voice sounds like he's some wannabe zany childrens tv presenter. Someone should have cracked him with a portfolio full of unwise sub-prime market investments.

It is pretty funny though and don't see why they shouldn't do it. I'll die for someone's right to throw snowballs at whoever they like. It's only bloody snow.

lol

That's the thing. The act of throwing snow is funny and as you say I would die for that right. Die for it.

However, the REASON they are throwing snow is f**king stupid. And for me that overshadows everything else. Nobs.

Another top quality post James.

Oh ****.

Leave me alone.

Ha I worked in that building until September last year. Few of my old colleagues were telling me about this! A joke as the pubblic seem the think that the whole of RBS is at fault when in reality the big wigs sit in 135 bishopsgate across the road! They were snowballing the wrong fking building!

I don't think most people care - bankers in general are now more reviled than estate agents and traffic wardens. A banker ought to find a cure for Jade's cancer, that'd have the country back loving them.

My thoughts exactly.

Well said James.

What a bunch of morons.

And if that one with the annoying voice would of gave me any excuse whatsoever, i would of knocked his head off.

Did I hear them say they are 'anarchists'? They look like a bunch of middle-class nobheads to me who have never had a money worry in their lives. No wonder anything never gets sorted if these are the kind of people who come out to protest about 'wrongs'.

Why though? there is such a wide gulf between regular people who work in banks and the execs directors. As recently said with Lloyds - most staff in Banks don't earn much at all. I know plenty of people down at RBS who are honest and hard working folk like you or I (well, I dont work that hard). I think it's harsh that all 150,000 staff are labelled as evil when a whole lot of them have nothing at all to do with creating the problems that brought the back to its knees.

There are still plenty of areas at RBS which are very profitable indeed, it just so happens that unwinding the CDO etc products has caused such a huge loss as to reverse their profit.

I still don't see why the idea to ringfence the bad debt into seperate legal entities and THEN unwind it could not have been done sooner. Surely the British Banking system would be in a better state if the gov't had isolated the problem early on.
