Extraordinary. We owe em one and I'm more than happy to encourage a connection. I've got relatives in Cheltenham and go their regularly on business anyway.

Pre-match this season was as good as it got with a decent close-to-the-ground pub, reception to match and courtesy of the car park.

I'm all for a pre-season friendly and would definitely be happy to travel down there.

If Errea end up making our kits next season and we get a red away shirt, we will look like Cheltenham Town.

MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

Has anyone edited the Leicester page accordingly?

I don't think so, they still have rivalries only on there. Needs changing for posterity though, Cheltenham fans have been memorable for all the right reasons.

I had a spare ticket for the Hereford game, but due to unforseen circumstances my dad can't come now, so owing to our 'special' friendship with the Chelts i'm now driving to Hereford via Cheltenham to pick a Chelt fan up to bring to the game, he'll be in his Cheltenham shirt and i'm sure he won't mind doing the conga again :D

:appl: what a great gesture that is, i bet he could not believe his luck today getting a free ticket and drawing with Peterborough.

Its official... its on Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheltenham_To....C.#Friendships

Friendships

Cheltenham Town have developed a good relationship with Leicester City F.C. fans in the 2008-2009 season. This came as a result of Leicester City's admiration for the behaviour and passionate support of the Cheltenham Town fans at the Walkers Stadium in March 2009, in spite of Cheltenham's heavy defeat. This extended to a high number of fans from Leicester attending the match between Peterborough United F.C. and Cheltenham Town to support the Robins, which ended in a 1-1 draw (incidentally a highly beneficial result for the Foxes in the title race). At this match, as at the earlier match at the Walkers Stadium, both fans sang songs in praise of the other. A Facebook group has been set up to mark the friendship between the two clubs and currently has nearly 200 members drawn from the fanbases of both clubs. There have been calls from some for Cheltenham and Leicester to arrange a pre-season friendly to celebrate the relationship between the fans.

They made a post about it on there own board, no replies yet though.

I had the pleasure of driving through a delightful part of the country today, on my way to pick up a new member of the die hard foxes faithful, I think you know who i mean

He (Sam) says he's going to register on here at some point...so keep an eye out. Great lad, He was slightly weary about wearing his CTFC shirt - with Hereford being rivals... i said "don't worry, you have the Leicester faithful looking out for you". And ladies and gents you didn't let me down, what a terrific day, atmosphere and result :D

He couldn't believe the response he got from those that were there, so once again I thank you and I also thank you on behalf of Sam, Leicester's newest fan.

Up you Foxes.... and Robins

if we beat the scum on monday the club should let us do the conga on the pitch seeing as they have let 30 plus elephants run all over it in the egg chasing game so what would a few thousand city fans do to the pitch no less i bet
