Just to say 'commiserations' on your relegation to any Chelts still on this forum - you've made friends in Leicester, and your battle to stay up (or at least to get above Hereford) has been inspiring stuff over the last few weeks. Shame that time ran out for you yesterday, or that your run of good form didn't start a week or two earlier.

Hopefully you can take some inspiration from Leicester's record this year, and get back up into league one at the first attempt - as champions. In the meantime, I know you'll be welcome at our games next year. We'll need some help filling our allocation at Plymouth for one thing, and it's an easier journey for you than us!

Thanks for being one of the best things about our year in league one, and good luck for next season!

If you don't like it then do us all a favour and don't post about it, you're like a broken record, I think you need to get out more.

How can anyone be against this?

Okay, so some are gonna be more commited to the idea than others, but the concept of disliking the circumstance of a friendship with another team is far beyond me. After all, they turned up with their voices which made for a great day out for all concerned. It was simply banter and respect shared between two teams, which is nothing short sporting perfection if you discount the actual performance of the team. It certainly made my season.

I don't see what's so 'PC' about it. I hate all the PC going around, but this has nothing to do with it. We can hate teams that we hate, and we can direct hate at them and shout at them all we like, in a hateful way - yesyes! Football does appeal to the hatrid market, too. Don't stress.

Other teams we like, and these teams shall receive our respect and support. It's hardly PC to like a team who turned up as they did and joined in on our own celebrations and aplauded us the way that they did. It's natural to take to a team well who took to us as well as they did. It's more common sense over anything else. - Anything else, like a fully functional brain cell.

Don't you think it's time to grow up lads? It's things like this, proving that football can be enjoyed without the chest beating and knuckle dragging, that is going to help to have us treated like proper human beings instead of scum.

Tell you what I think you're right. Lets get back to the way things were in the 80s. Great days for English football those were. Great days.

I'm not going to be joining the love in... if people want to flug themselves off over Cheltenham Town then let them. Someone should tell Cheltenham though, as apart from about 6 people the others don't seem to have a clue what's going on.

PS. Have Cheltenham actually paid us the outstanding money they owed us from our loan deals yet.

I don't think, given our history, we should be too hard on them if they haven't.

There are plenty of teams in this league and above, whom it's all too easy to despise. Instances of mutual respect and friendship should be cherished and encouraged rather than condemned.

Alright maybe it's slightly over the top, but the principle of it is right.

I'd rather have a friendship than have our fans participate in a pointless, petty rivalry with another team.

It's more like unrequited love!! I'm all for friendship, but some of it is about as childish and fans beating each other up.

Each to their own.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I understand the appreciation for Cheltenham in that they were very graceful and even humorous in defeat at the Walkers...I was in K, I witnessed it. Great. Fair play, well done Cheltenham.

Mutual appreciation, great. Leave it there.

In my opinion, some people take it too far though. Saying Cheltenham should be our feeder club, for example. No disrespect to anyone who has done so, but I personally can't understand the appeal of regularly going to Cheltenham games when Leicester aren't involved. It suprises me that there's quite a few people who have put something like 'CTFC 4 ever' on the back of their Leicester shirts. I mean, do we really mean that much to each other?

I'll admit I wasn't there, but from what I hear Crewe were also good humoured in defeat and relegation. Should we be masturbating over them too?

How can anyone be against this?

Left at simply banter and respect, then great. But certain people aren't leaving it at that are they?

Some people have to much free time, NSLL, me included, we showed all stick top just mastabating instead of posting shit and trying to be buddies with a club we will probably never play again in the league!!!!!!!

i think it's great that there is some friendship between fans... it just gets annoying when this thread comes up every bloody day on foxestalk when we played cheltenham like 2 months ago

Think the cheltnham thing is maybe going a bit ott but dont really have a problem with it, on your last point though you're dreaming. Where have you been for the last 10 years?

The more football fans behave, the more the plod and the football authorities start to criminalise trivial and minor things to continue their war on football fans. No firms beat each other up recently?? fook it, we'll have to dish out 5 year bans for stepping on the pitch, nick people all over the shop for drunkeness or swearing, plaster people's faces all over the national press for 'inappropriate chanting´, turn away coaches travelling to games just because they're full of young males, try to provoke a reaction out of ordinary non-violent fans to plump up the statistics.

I'm not saying fans shouldn't behave, but it's clear the more they do, the longer the list of footballing 'crimes' grows.

This. Seems to be a largely one way street. Had a goose at their forum one day and there was about 2 lads banging on about it with the rest saying they'd rather we just left them alone.
