Hitesh Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 .. or is about to (all betting suspended) so will they come sniffing? Where is the betting suspended? Just went to Will Hill and you can still put money on as well as Betfair...
Mickey O'Neil Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Where is the betting suspended? Just went to Will Hill and you can still put money on as well as Betfair... This is the only thing I can find. ~ 3m:06s IMHO, Pearson isn't on their radar
Uncle Albert Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 All betting was stopped on Benitez a few weeks ago by William Hill and they were garunteeing Rafa being sacked and he is still there.
ousefox Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 He is a nice guy but really isn't a good enough manager and should have been sacked by now in all fairness.
Jimmy Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 why would they turn to a manager that still hasn't won ANYTHING to save them from relegation
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 He is a nice guy but really isn't a good enough manager and should have been sacked by now in all fairness. They did a peice with their fans on MOTD2 yesterday, and fair play to their fans they haven't got above their station - they realise that to stay in the Premiership each season is pretty good for a club like Boro. Gareth's not done that badly there. They are clearly an average side that will lose decent players and do well to replace them. He could be a bit more inspiring in his interviews though! Consider what Newcastle and Sunderland are doing right now with the players they have, Boro could be a lot worse off, and it's good to see them bringing young english lads through.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 why would they turn to a manager that STILL hasn't won anything to save them from relegation I think the emphasis is on the wrong word there. After all, he still hasn't had a full season in charge of anyone. I agree with what I think you're saying though, they won't go for him.

Webbo Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 There's nothing on Middlesborough's OS. I hope this isn't true, I like Southgate, I think he'll be a top manager one day.
isaidno Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 .. or is about to (all betting suspended) so will they come sniffing? Is this the same bookies that stopped taking bets on Benitez being sacked a couple of weeks ago ?
Matt Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 This is the only thing I can find. ~ 3m:06sIMHO, Pearson isn't on their radar When I first saw this thread my heart sank and that was my fear, I do believe Pearson is an honest man who will see a job through and show some loyalty (An unknown thing in football nowadays) but then i've thought that about players and managers in the past to have it chucked in my face so nothing would come as a surprise should things happen.
