According to Bentleys Mattock & Cleverly have also been called up.

It seems a bit late in the day to postpone and Posh won't want an evening game, it'll mean people can drink (shock, horror) before the game.

3 first-teamers away on international duty.. Do Posh have anyone? How many players need to be away before they can move a game?

3 I believe - I presume because Cleverly is on loan to us he's counted as our player.

Cleverley, King & Mattock away on International Duty.. Howard suspended. Nice one.

With 3 players on International duty, it'll be postponed.

U20's game isn't until the Tuesday anyway, so Cleverley should be ok to play.

Hmm.. Will they postpone it if the '20s game isn't until Tuesday?

I know it's selfish as **** and all, and unfair on EVERYONE who's booked everything, but I'm eager for the postponement... It'd mean I could go. :D:ph34r:

I just think it is too late for the game to be postponed, ecspecially with tickets already on sale and it is only a week on Saturday.

Tuesday night terracing is monumental but for the reasons you say, this isn't going to be available to me. :(

Though Barry Fry has been known to be a **** and piss everyone off before...

It wouldn't matter with tickets, they can just be used for the re-arranged game.

They postponed the Colchester round about this time (10 or so days before) back in September, so it could still be done.

Hopefully, if Cleverley is allowed to play for us, it won't be.

Posh Telegraph:

POSH and Leicester will be fielding weakened sides when they meet in the top-of-the-table League One clash at London Road on March 28. Posh central defender Craig Morgan (right) is in the Welsh squad for World Cup qualifiers against Finland and Germany which makes him unavailable for the visit of the table-topping Foxes.

Posh are also sweating on the availability of Joe Lewis as England Under 21s have a friendly fixture in Norway the previous night, although the giant goalkeeper was left out of the last squad.

But Leicester have already been harder hit by international call-ups and a suspension for powerful striker Steve Howard. Howard collected his 10th booking of the season at Millwall on Saturday and will miss the next two matches against Colchester and Posh.

Free-scoring midfielder Andy King has also been named in a Welsh Under 21 squad for European Championship qualifiers which will render him unavailable for the trip to London Road. Howard and King scored against Posh in a 4-0 thumping at The Walkers Stadium in December and have 24 goals between them this season.

Leicester left-back Joe Mattock is also expected to be named in the England Under 21 squad. Posh midfielder Paul Coutts has been left out of the Scotland Under 21 squad and can face The Foxes.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson said: "We expected Craig's call-up, but we thought Paul would be involved with Scotland so it's not as bad as we feared, although we will have to wait and see with Joe. It's a bonus for us that Howard and King won't be playing though."

Clubs have to have three players involved in international matches to postpone Football League fixtures. Players on loan do not count.

Posh have already sold in excess of 7,000 tickets for the Leicester fixture which is expected to attract a sell-out crowd in the region of 14,000. It is an all-ticket match and Leicester are confident they will sell their entire allocation of 4,200 tickets.

In the absence of Lewis, Ferguson confirmed that he would field young goalkeeper James McKeown rather than recall loyal Posh veteran Mark Tyler.

McKeown, who has experienced just 25 minutes of competitive first-team football, has just signed a two-year extension to a Posh contract that was due to expire at the end of the season.

Posh have a tough League One match at in-form Bristol Rovers before facing Leicester. Morgan is expected to return to the side after a seven-week absence with a toe injury and is likely to replace Gaby Zakuani who must serve a one-match suspension.

Ferguson is taking no chances with the fitness of the rest of his senior players.

He is planning to field a youth team in tomorrow's reserve team fixture with Colchester at London Road.

Posh season tickets for the 2009/10 campaign are now on sale at this season's prices. There are early purchase bargains to be had with the first discount period available until April 13.

****. No chance for me, then.

Doesn't seem like they've been hit anywhere near as hard as they're making out, though.

Peterborough must be lovin' this.

Who have they lost?

Powell will have to replace Mattock, with Berner slipping in for King & Gradel covering on the wing (If Cleverley can't play). This is without super Barry Hayles playing instead of Steve.

There's the very realistic option of them playing their version of Pentney.

I personally think with the England U21s game being a friendly, Pearce will restrict himself to the top two divisions.

I certainly hope so, Joe Lewis being called up for U21's would mean that James McKeown would make his first start in profressional football. Missing Morgan shouldn't be too much of a problem for us, because he has been out injured since Jan 31st and yet to even play a reserve match.

But then who is on the subs bench????

does anyone else actually think it would help us if Lewis did actually play?!?! i've seen him and he is very, very dodgy

Knowing him though, he'll play a blinder because it's Leicester City

In the home match, he played quite well, though he was beaten to the ball by Fryatt for the second goal.
