Corky Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 He looked solid in the game on Saturday. Good back-up for the rest of the season, and if he goes then I wish him all the best. A true 100 per center
teblin Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 The distibution argument from the centre back really Frustrates me. As has already said taggart did some hoofing and are we are all forgetting the "walsh whack". first and formost the centre backs are there to stop goals, and kisnorbo puts his body on the line to do so. Its a shame if kis sounds like he is off, as tunchev, kisnorbo, hobbs and morrison would give us great cover and starters at centre back next season.

Guest ttfn Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 It's good to have Patrick Kisnorbo back in contention for a place in the City team.I can't understand why people on this forum have a go at him. Correct me if I am wrong, but I reckon last season he was MOTM more than any other player. He came through last season with credit, unlike most of the squad. He doesn't fit in as a midfield player, but as a central defender I think he could cut it in the Premiership, let alone the Championship. I hope that he figures in Nigel Pearsons plans for next season. Someone on the forum ( knowitall? ) said that he will be released at the end of this season, I hope this is not true. What's your opinion of Kiso? I agree almost 100%. He could play for a bottom of the prem side. If (one day) we ever make it back up there, I'd like him to be in the squad and trust him to do a good job. Oh, also, I'm going to venture this thought. Kisnorbo is better than Hobbs. Much better.
CosbehFox Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Oh, also, I'm going to venture this thought. Kisnorbo is better than Hobbs. Much better. Not Millwall I take it. Hobbs was immense on Saturday - his best performance in a Leicester shirt.

I started this subject, so let me say, I am a Kisnorbo fan, but I can't agree that he's better than Hobbs. Of all the loanees that NP has made, Hobbs is the one that I wish we could sign on a permanent deal.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 I like him. He's been a good servant for us over the years. Usually solid and dependable and often pops up with the odd goal from set pieces. His major downfalls have been highlighted and discussed in details loads of times on here. Wherever he decides to go, I wish him all the best. I never disagree with the K.A.J
Lillehamring Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 I don't think Hobbs is any better or worse than Kisnorbo particularly, but it's a shame to lose players that have been at the club a reasonable length of time. Is he our longest serving player now? yes, and in many minds symptomatic of everything that has been wrong at theis club for some years, and if not symptomatic the certainly representative of it.
Lillehamring Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 Hey See you Jimmy! If Kiso is as bad as you make him out to be, tell me why did he get so many votes as MOTM last season? Plus don't forget, although we got relegated, I'm pretty sure we had the best defensive record in the Championship. the reason he got many motm votes is because he was often the best of a very bad bunch.... when our defenders are getting motm votes this season, its because they are offering an all-round game... And as far as the argument defending his hoofing by comparing it with walsh, taggart et al. they were playing in a team that got results by playing long in to gaps left by teams pushing up with heskey chasing and holding up... with kisnorbo it was just a case of hit and hope, and invariably straight to the other side. there is a huge difference between taggart's route one hoofing, and kisnorbo (and mccauley's) aimless hacking
bluebeau Posted 18 March 2009 Author Posted 18 March 2009 I forgot we're back at school. And you are in the naughty corner you thick twat! Read my post correctly & you might get into your thick skull why I wrote that I had started the subject.

87fox Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 He's a good header and hoofer but is too inclined to manhandle and shirt pull for my liking - hence bookings sending offs and penalties Both sendings off last season weren't even fouls in the first place and were later rescinded
savedave Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 "It felt good to finally get back on the pitch on Saturday. I have been back in training for a while now and I was just desperate to get back involved," Kisnorbo told Leicester TV. Link Leicester TV?
Bert Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 Both sendings off last season weren't even fouls in the first place and were later rescinded Both were outside of the box too, which resulted in penalties. They'll still find something else to say.

87fox Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 Both were outside of the box too, which resulted in penalties. They'll still find something else to say. Which leads on to the argument of would we have even lost those two games we had to play with 10 men and a penalty given against us, and considering a point from either game would have kept us up... But then we needed to get relegated to regroup & will be much stronger for it... Ahh my brain hurts

davieG Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 The question is not whether Kisnorbo is good enough for where ever we end up but whether we can end up with someone better.
Lillehamring Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 The question is not whether Kisnorbo is good enough for where ever we end up but whether we can end up with someone better. good point - based on NP's pickings so far, i would say, highly probable...
orod Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 I think he's brilliant. No-one is saying hes better than Elliott and no-one is saying that he's the fastest defender around. But the facts of the matter are that he was really good for us last season and we will really benefit if he's playing for us next year. If people saw championship reviews in the media last year, a few put Kisnorbo in the top 5 players in the chamionship last season, and on top of that he got lots of MOTM awards for us. I think people that slag him off and don't understand his importanceare are very short sighted and dont really know what they're talking about.
ousefox Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 I've always rated him and although he 'hoofs' it a lot he is a defender that can score goals, unlike any we have got at the moment.
