MC Prussian Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Cox with another triple, now tied with Lambert for 1st. Fryatt now to shine against the Posh? I doubt it - no Howard, no joy. Meh. But well done to the Crewe.
Milky Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 go out the room for five minutes and it's 2-2. ooooh what a feelin...
Tubes Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Am I right in thinking we now need to drop 10 points in 21 and Millwall winning all of there last eight for us to not get promoted? (ignoring MK ******)
maddog Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Looking at our remaining fixtures, apart from Hereford and possibly Carlisle at home they are all toughies. And loseable. But even if we lost 5, and beat Hereford and Carlisle we would still go up.

Milky Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 So you are saying we need a minimum of 2 wins?! 88 points could be enough.
Lillehamring Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 UPDATED MAXIMUMS - not taking into account games within these teams - ie, only 2 of the closest 4 can get max points, possibly all 4 could drop 2 points from their maximums if they all draw with each other... LCFC 82pts + 21: 103 Pboro 75pts + 21: 96 Millwall 70 + 24: 94 MK 69 + 24: 93 Leeds 62 + 27: 89 Scunny 64 + 24: 88 Tranny 62 + 21: 83

Guest Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 go out the room for five minutes and it's 2-2. ooooh what a feelin... You're not dancing on the ceiling by any chance are you?
leftsideoverhere Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Heartbreaker for Cheltenham, but that result does at least finally put paid to Oldham - they join the growing list of clubs that simply cannot, even mathematically, catch Leicester. Only six teams left now that can. And Tranmere would need to win all seven of their remaining games, and see us pick up no more than one point, so that's unlikely to say the least. MK Dons slip to a notional fourth place now behind Millwall. It's close to make-or-break for several of the chasing pack this weekend, and I don't think they'll all survive the pressure. I'd really like Cheltenham to stay up but I just can't see how they can. So close again tonight, but not enough.
leftsideoverhere Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 What I am less clear about is what effect tonight's games have on the bottom of the table, and by extension, on the chances of us being given shedloads of tickets for the Crewe game on May 2nd. With Cheltenham picking up points, and Hereford winning, it is getting increasing close at the bottom and Crewe are nowhere near safe. I'm thinking we want them safe as soon as possible, so they can relax about the final game, and figure the financial benefit of filling the ground with foxes outweighs the significance of the crowd's influence on the game. Has anyone run the 'predictor' for the foot of the table?
Corky Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 3 more wins! Said in a Mike Bassett-style "Four More Years" tone
Lillehamring Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 I would imagine then, given that Millwall and Peterborough have to play each other, that the maximum we need to ensure promotion is 94 points. that seems right, yes - so 4 wins for definate woo-hoo time...
Corky Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 We win on Saturday- three more wins after that and the title is ours.
Lovejoy Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Schlongs v Leeds on Saturday? If Leeds do them it's goodbye to automatic for MK.
Maybes Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Schlongs v Leeds on Saturday? If Leeds do them it's goodbye to automatic for MK. As much as I dislike Leeds, I hope they wank all over MK.
Guest Bilo Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 As much as I dislike Leeds, I hope they wank all over MK. A meeting between two of my favourite clubs. For the good of Leicester though, come on Leeds! (I feel dirty )

C-man Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Nope, Tranmere would still only be 20 points behind with a possible 21 more to get.Oldham can't catch us anyway, even if they win their last 8 games (That includes tonights game) and we lose our last 7, we would still probably beat them on goal difference. Well actually, because Tranmere play S****horpe, it does.
maddog Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Well actually, because Tranmere play S****horpe, it does. If Scunny lose to Tranmere they could still get 85 points by winning all their remaining games.
C-man Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 If Scunny lose to Tranmere they could still get 85 points by winning all their remaining games. OK, you win. Didn't realise S****horpe still had a game in hand.
maddog Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 OK, you win. Didn't realise S****horpe still had a game in hand. Either way a win Saturday will mathimatically guarantee a playoff place and almost certainly win us the title
Dr The Singh Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Either way a win Saturday will mathimatically guarantee a playoff place and almost certainly win us the title I already have a title.........it's Dr!!!
