Dan Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 I've noticed at away games that whenever we sing 'shall we sing a song for you', we start chanting the other teams name. I know people like a laugh, but this is pathetic, theres no funny element to it and its hardly a song of support. Incredible.
Father Ted Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Do you know what's even worse? '1-0 up, who gives a fook...' Ridiculous and pathetic are those fans that sing.

As well as getting behind our team, we also like having a bit of banter and by signing that i like to think that we have the banter as well as it being something a bit different.

I suppose you're one of the large number of City fans who get irritated by fans making any noise whatsoever ?
JoeyB Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Miserable tart . It's called having a laugh.I suppose you're one of the large number of City fans who get irritated by fans making any noise whatsoever ? Correct and i bet he sits down
SamL Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Do you know what's even worse?'1-0 up, who gives a fook...' Ridiculous and pathetic are those fans that sing. You obviously weren't at Tranmere away then. It's a good way to get behind our team. I think people need to lighten up a little. Also, it's "1-0 down, who gives a fook".
Lovejoy Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Ridiculous and pathetic are those fans that sing. I'll assume with that attitude you sit in the kop ? And go to two or three awayers a year ?
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Clearly some people forget that vocal support is first and foremost about enjoyment of the match. CHEL-TEN-HAAAM

Bert Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Fook sake lads. This must be why we're not already Champions.

Also, it's "1-0 down, who gives a fook". Fair enough but in SK1 on Saturday, a bunch at the top (LD3, I think ) just constantly sang it for about 10-15 minutes by themselves getting on everybody's tits. I only raised this issue because of Saturday as I felt the atmosphere was only made more dull and boring as nobody else sang along with it.

It was me and two friends. Why didn't you join in? The atmosphere was dull and boring because everybody wanted others to do the singing, but didn't dare to contribute themselves.

Yeah, it was 3 people, and no it wasn't me, someone else on here. It was annoying then. But doesn't make it awful support.
Daggers Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Signing? What's wrong with including deaf supporters in our thunderous support of the opposition? *For the benefit of deaf readers: Thunderous means something which is very lou...aw, forget it!
Dan Posted 24 March 2009 Author Posted 24 March 2009 Miserable tart . It's called having a laugh.I suppose you're one of the large number of City fans who get irritated by fans making any noise whatsoever ? How the fook is that having a laugh? At Tranmere they were signing come back when ya balls have dropped, that was having a laugh and that was class. This just aint funny and is completely useless.
maddog Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 This threads worse than my Gareth Williams thread, and that was hideous
SwindonRed Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 When you came to the County Ground, what was all that chanting about we are 'The Left Side' we are 'The Right Side' bit about? It certainty wasn't banter!!!
