StanSP Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 I went for 11th - 14th in Championship. May be a bit surprising but I think Pearson will make the right signings in the summer in order to be of some kind of force in the CCC. But to be honest, I'll settle for a bit lower. Don't wanna go through anything like last season and flirt with relegation all season though. Anything above 15/16th will be nice.
Daggers Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Sorry if its already been done. Have you just discovered the New Thread button?
maddog Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Shouldn't this poll be done after pre-season so we can see what squad we have, who our manager is and how we've done in pre-season friendlies
StanSP Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Shouldn't this poll be done after pre-season so we can see what squad we have, who our manager is and how we've done in pre-season friendlies Shouldn't optometers or whatever they are called be done later on in the week - not straight after the match so we can see who will be available Oh and are you doubting who our manager might be . Do you not think it will be Pearson??
carterfox90 Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 a bit early for this is'nt it ????????? we are not there yet !!!!

Do you not think it will be Pearson?? Who knows what will happen between now and after the next pre season, anything could. If Megson can get the Bolton job then Pearson could easily be snapped up by a Prem club. Optimeters are maybe a couple of days too early, this is 5 months too early
Dan Posted 24 March 2009 Author Posted 24 March 2009 a bit early for this is'nt it ????????? we are not there yet !!!! thats why i put league 1 in as well
Dan Posted 24 March 2009 Author Posted 24 March 2009 The optimism is quality, no-one thinks we will come below 17th
Huuuuuume Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Shouldn't optometers or whatever they are called be done later on in the week - not straight after the match so we can see who will be available Oh and are you doubting who our manager might be . Do you not think it will be Pearson?? If Boro go down do you not think Southgate will get the boot and Np might be tempted to go join his old stomping ground...? Or even Newcastle for that matter. Longshot, I know, but if they go down don't you think they might want a manager that has had a fairly good track record? NOTHING IS CERTAIN! It all comes down to Milan. Will he give NP enough pennies to be able to spend a bit?
Huuuuuume Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Yikes! It just occurred to me that NP has been a coach at Newcastle! Wasn't even caretaker for a while when Big Sam got the Big Boot? Therefore, yes the poll should be done later but it's good to see what everyone else think now. Maybe a new one should be started in June/July and we can compare how we feel when things get better (new signing, NP staying) or worse (NP leaving, no prolific signings etc).
maddog Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Megson did awful at Forest, spent over 1 and a half years out of management, did ok for a few weeks with us then got the fooking Bolton job. Joe Kinnear got the Newcastle job. Pearson is a better candidate than both of them for a Prem club IMO
Ford Super Sunday Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Championship, 19-21st. We will struggle badly next season (thats if we carry on struggling at home like we have done for the last few seasons)

Guest Bilo Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Promotion as Champions this season. Mid-table mediocrity in the Championship next season, whcih would be an improvement over the last few years of relegation dodging followed by a play-off push in the 2010-2011 season. I am Nostradamus, fear me.
Dames Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 7-10th/Pushing for the playoffs. I don't think we'll really struggle and will probably make a surprise promotion push but we'll more than likely run out of steam towards the tail end of the season and end up either just inside the play offs or just outside of them.
AyewJoking Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Hopefully the squad and starting line up will be a lot stronger because the current team would struggle, I think.
