SemperEadem Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Erm can't really remember, but 11.30ish at a guess?Maybe slightly earlier. 11.30? on friday it finished at around 10.40
Finnegan Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Don't care, you start calling Oasisand i will make you look small. Also isn't Liam the most talked about front man of all time ? He kinda made Oasis on his performance. I love it when stupid people pretend they're clever. I can quite safely say you've never made anyone look small on here.
Matt Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 11.30? on friday it finished at around 10.40 Maybe it was 10.40, I dunno as I said I was only guessing and was quite pissed at the time. Many pubs near by?Never been De Monf before. The Lansdowne we went to, Get some Fruli down ya.

Libertine Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Yeh I read that they finish about 11.40. Pfft, wanted to watch Coach Carter.
fantastic_mr_fox Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Serge wore his Bentley's Roof T-shirt last night
Trav Le Bleu Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Finished at 10:50 last night. FACT! (Texted my wife afterwards and that's the time on it ) Was an excellent performance from Kasabian though. Their great showing made up for the fact that DMH is now a crap, sanitised venue with minimal toilet facilties (Only one men's loo downstairs - there were huge queues! (TLB's tip for the night - use the toilets in the upper circle. Quite a climb, but NO QUEUES!) Now I know how women suffer ) I wore my retro 69-72 city shirt and about 3/4 of the way through Kasabian's set some guy in the audience saw it, pointed at it, high fived me, then reached over, pulled my sweat badge towards him from my sweaty left nip and kissed it, before high fiving me once more. It made me laugh! One of the best performances I've ever seen, but I have to say the crowd were a bit wet... the mass mob dancing didn't go very far back and died down for long times. I find it sad that a 41 year old over-weight guy should have been one of the most hardcore fans down at the front (and I'm not even that big a Kasabian fan... I wouldn't list them in my top 20 bands - though that performance would make my top 20 - possibly top 10 live performances (before anyone starts knocking that comment, I've seen more than my fair share of bands in my time.) Jersey Budd was... meh, seriously meh. There was one oldish couple (in their 50s) dancing and singing along to all his songs. HAD to be his mum and dad! The Hours were okay. Don't know if it was the technicians fault, or if the lead singer doesn't have a very strong voice, but his vocals were seriously drowned out. Mucho fun!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Just to add to the frontman discussion... Tom is very, very good, but in my book he come's 2nd to this man... Howling Pelle Almqvist - he's the personification of perpetual motion on stage! PS, Noel who?
Nath Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Dion dublin's brother was there friday night. Not that you wanted to know.
SemperEadem Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Dion dublin's brother was there friday night. Not that you wanted to know. Eddie is his name?
Nath Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Eddie is his name? No idea, his younger brother i think... The better footballer of the 3 of them so i heard. The eldest built my house.
Matt Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 I wanna go again. Will be kicking off just about now Loved the "You've got the Love" intro to LSF, I was going mental at that. Got a few City chants going too.
Samilktray Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 That kicked arse. Being at the front was mental, I feel like Ive done 10 rounds with Tyson.
ASH17LCFC Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Kasabian are a great band and a great live act but people in this city only love them because their Leicester lads. If they wasn't from Leicester no one wouldn't hardly care for them. Also to that idiot JB, why are Kasabian supporting Oasis at their homecoming gig ? Oasis wasn't their last night were they ? 60,000 right, Kasabian will never get that in their whole career and Oasis have played in front of 250,000 paying people. Have Blur ? have Muse ? NOPE
Samilktray Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Can you not just fuck off and let people enjoy what they enjoy. Your constant drivel about bringing Oasis into every fucking thread on a different artist or band is becoming daft. Jerk.
Libertine Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Jeeeeez. Jersey Budd was complete shit. He was like "so how many of you have got my new album 'Wonderlands'YEH QUITE A FEW OF YA!' Howboutno. Kasabian were great. I was literally dripping with sweat the whole way through. As soon as you see someone waving their crutch in the air to Shoot the Runner you know you're at a good gig.
