Milky Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 On SSN now. Could be an early april fools. Reporter David craig seems very confident though.
Joe. Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 It was always inevitable eventually. Wouldn't surprise me at all.
Finnegan Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Win-win situation. If it's an April fools it's funny. If it's true it's funny. Laughs all round.
maddog Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 unbelieveable. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ted/7975700.stm This is the most shocking news. And i am being serious. He said many times he was happy doing 'punditry' and now Newcastles Premiership status is on his shoulders. Im sorry Alan but their going down the Walkers next season
Flynny Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 I doubt Shearer would play a trick like that on the Newcastle fans, they'd hate him. Someone'll contact him, if it's not true he'll refute it within the hour, rendering the whole thing pointless. So it's almost certainly happening.
maddog Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Its been confirmed!!! Incredible. And they play Chelsea Saturday.
Matt Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Wow, I thought it would happen at some point but not now. Surprised. Adds more reason for Newcastle to come down now!
Finnegan Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 I will be utterly astounded if he turns it arounnd.
Nationwider Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Alan Shearer is a twat. Newcastle is great city, but I so want them to balls this up.
Fosse Boy Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 To quote my mate's latest facebook status: newcastle announce shearer as boss till the end of the season... so a geordie legend is about to relegate his beloved football club. retarded northerners...
Flynny Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 He's a clever man. Whatever happens now he can claim things were against him from the start.
Shrenchel Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Been a long time coming. Nice little gig for the cockhead, can't lose really as far as public opinion is concerned. Good luck to the players tryna stay awake in the dressing room, he's the most boring **** in the world.
AjcW Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Still a twat. You are still a twat but were not posting it every few minutes. Shearer isnt a twat. Hes a down to earth bloke who has total respect for his family, friends and the city of newcastle, hes always made the right decisions in the past whether it be holding off on the newcastle job or working on tv for a while. I now feel again he has made a good, strong, brave, decision. And before anyone asks its family links that i know all this stuff its not just pure opinion its fact.

Firstly, you'll find quite a lot of City fans have a grievance with Shearer and it's not just y'man Wilkes here. Secondly, taking anything Tevez says overly seriously is only going to make you look like a bit of a mug. The lad's a perennial jokester and produces quite a few giggles if you just mellow out a bit. No need for the abuse, like.
AjcW Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 I tell u what i get away with fook all on here its so frustrating.... Lcfc fans seem to have grievences with lots of strikers at the moment they should try bloody dropping them... Woopdeedoo lee hughes got out early so did 5000 odd other fooking murderers but they dont get abuse hurled at them, he didnt chose to come out early did he.... And as for shearer give over lads hes retired now,,,, grievence over surely???

Your family has got everything aint it mate. Parking industry connections, Shearer connections. Just going down for your fish finger must be like getting tickled by Tommy Cooper.
Finnegan Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 What? I'm just asking you to avoid calling Tevez a twat for no real reason. You're not being "punished" or anything of the like, I'm not even deleting or editing your post. And the Shearer thing is different. Lee Hughes has done nothing to us personally some people just think he should have served longer, rightly or wrongly. The Shearer incident was a few years ago when he remorselessly stamped on Neil Lennon infront of the bike shed and got away with it because, frankly, he was Alan Shearer.

fox123 Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 I think Ashley needed to gain some fans back after this dismal season for Newcastle, and what went on with Keegan... Joe Kinnear appointment was exactly that - 'A joke in 'ere' ...Hence appointing Shearer, and I bet he didn't come cheap either. Dunno if he will keep them up, time will tell, he will certainly try and install discipline and passion.
