GLC Posted 4 April 2009 Author Posted 4 April 2009 Hardly the biggest games in our history If we get play-offs and then lose then egg in your face
Legend_in_blue Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Hardly the biggest games in our history If the players go in with that attitude then the fook up will continue.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 If we draw the next 5 games... and millwall win their next 5, then they will beat us by three points. Leeds, Scunny and Southend for me are gone. we won't wn any of those three. The teams are too good for us. Hereford is MASSIVE now. and I hope the players realise this. As for Crewe, well... I am not sure about that. But I know if we need to win to go up, its hello play-offs Face it, this club cannot handle pressure anymore

The teams are too good for us. Sorry, but didn't we beat two of these teams earlier in the season? And we should have won at Leeds as well. Hereford is MASSIVE now. and I hope the players realise this.As for Crewe, well... I am not sure about that. But I know if we need to win to go up, its hello play-offs Face it, this club cannot handle pressure anymore The team's been struggling with pressure ever since Fryatt missed that penalty in the Oldham game. But as long as the unbeaten run continued, fans weren't bothered, even though it's been obvious for months to everyone except the manager that we are badly out of form.

So at the moment its looking fairly probable we will get promoted in the Southend game, or the Scunny game, or the Crewe game, or not at all
Ford Super Sunday Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Sorry, but didn't we beat two of these teams earlier in the season? And we should have won at Leeds as well. Did we not also beat Peterborough, Carlisle, Colchester, Tranmere, MK Dons & Hartlepool earlier in the season?
Mikey Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Did we not also beat Peterborough, Carlisle, Colchester, Tranmere, MK Dons & Hartlepool earlier in the season? I think he's pointing out that those teams aren't 'too good for us.'
Ford Super Sunday Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 No, of course they're not But with the way we are playing, those results will only go one way
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 Bet hereford and we can come top fail to win.....lucky with second
Matt Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 Bet hereford and we can come topfail to win.....lucky with second I said that about the Peterborough game, We lost. I said the panic was off unless we lost or drew to Carlisle, We drew. I can't keep saying if we beat such and such we will finish top, we lose/draw we'll finish second. Saturday now is must win and it doesn't stop their, We must win on Saturday and push on a win a minimum of another 2 games for any chance of winning the league or easing our fears of chucking promotion away. If we don't win on Saturday we may aswell just hand it to Peterborough and surrender our 2nd spot. Embarrassing.
ozleicester Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 bah humbug... no wondeer the team is nervous and lacking confidence..look at the fans. We WILL get promoted We WILL win this pissant league NP and MM WILL buy some quality players over summer LCFC WILL challenge for the playoffs in the CC next year. CMONNNN YOOOOO BLOOOOOOOOs
Alf Bentley Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 Millwall are 7 points behind, effectively 8 points given goal difference, with just a maximum 15 points available to them. The others (apart from Posh) are even further back. If Millwall win 4 and lose 1, which is better than I'd expect them to do (especially as they have to play Posh), then we'd be up with 5 more points (1 win, 2 draws, 2 defeats). Unless our form improves or Posh's form collapses, then the league title may well go east. However, automatic promotion still looks odds-on. Also, although form has been mediocre in recent weeks, we were really unlucky v. Carlisle (good opposing keeper, misses, injuries, dodgy refereeing decisions, injury-time equaliser). 2nd half v. Carlisle was better than most recent performances - and some players (Dyer, Fryatt) are returning to form. Keep faith! (Though the consequences of failure to gain promotion would be dire - squad cherry-picked by others, morale shot, Mandaric acting like a loose cannon, so "Big 5" indeed!)
teblin Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 Just heard on radio leics we need 8 points to get promotion, 13 to win the league but that would mean p'boro would win all 5 of their remaining games. Over the season we ajust about still avraging 2 points a game another 10 might just get us the league but that is a big ask. I'd agree these 5 games are massive as if we don't get out this year, we may be here for a long time.
carterfox90 Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 what worries me is that nigel is not worried about our poor form thinks we are playing well ????????????? :o
awaydayblue Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 we will win 4 (3 away plus scunny) and draw against leeds
