Matt Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 Wolves 1 - 0 Southampton. Goal must have been scored about 30 seconds in.
Matt Posted 10 April 2009 Author Posted 10 April 2009 Wolves 2 - 0 Southampton. 5 Minutes gone, Almost the same goal. Cross the ball in from a corner and Southampton are fooked, They look awful! Southampton.
lcfc_jme Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 Wolves don't look all that great tbh, sure they're 3-0 up but they're far from playing well. Craddock looks like an animal at centre-half. Atmosphere is disgustingly bad.

Atmosphere is disgustingly bad. They look a class apart when they actually try, they've eased off a lot now. Can't make up my mind whether Wolves are that good or Southampton are that bad. Either way, they're going to be two leagues apart come August.

I'd rather Southampton get relegated than Forest this season, fact. I despise them. To be honest, I know Wolves play exceptional football when they want to but really, 3 goals in the first 20 minutes means you can afford to take the foot off the gas and be a little slack. It's shown in this game because the first 20 aside, they've been average at best.

Fox92 Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 I disliked Southampton when we were relegated but, to be honest, they were only doing there job by beating Sheffield United last season. Now, I feel sorry for Southampton. Bottom of the 2nd division and in administration. Let's hope they can stay up although I think them and Charlton are already relegated. Wolves will go up I think and although I like them, I'll miss the old refreshing 1 hour and 30 minutes trip to Molinuex. Anybody watching Reading v Blades at 5:30?? C'mon Reading...

Why anybody dislikes Southampton because we got relegated instead of them is ridiculous!! Won't people realise that it is OUR own fault last season that we got relegated. A season lasts for 46 games, not just one game that decides all. Why not blame Pearson because he was managing them or the linesman who ruled Kisnorbo's header against S****horpe offside?? If there was one reason why I would want Southampton to go down instead is so that we can go to the City Ground next season and hammer Forest.

Father Ted Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 Can't blame the linesman What about the ref who sent Kisnorbo off against Sheff Utd and basically changed the game??
The Reverend Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 Can't blame the linesman Course you cant can you Danny, he's a match official. Fancy blaming a match official.

Ultra Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 The blunts won 1-0, and move into 2nd place in the Championship. The thought of that bunch of thugs returning to the Premier League has slightly tarnished my day.
Legend_in_blue Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 Southampton were terrible. Wolves - ok. The championship is not a lot different in terms of ability to league 1 imo. I'm still to be convinced otherwise.

I'm still to be convinced otherwise. I'm really not sure, I'd like the believe that is true, and hopefully we can challenge somewhere between mid-table and play-offs but i'm really not sure. A Wolves fan I know also says there isn't huge gap between League 1 and the Championship.

I don't think the skill level is significantly different but I do believe that there is considerable more muscle involved in their games. I suspect our biggest problem will be we are to light weight all through the team.
