dandannieldanok Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Paul Hayes as back-up to Howard. Looked good against us. Hayes is undoubtedly a good player but I'm not sure how you can say back-up to Howard, they're completely different types of striker.
manchester_foxes_fan Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Maybe one of these http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail...1659038,00.html Lita sounds a good one
Sparky Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Lita may well have worked with Pearson at u21 level , interesting
JoeyB Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Marcus Hahnemann, Leroy Lita Woudl deffo have them 2. Hahnemann is a Solid keeper Lita. brill on his day
Stueyt74 Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Paul Hayes as back-up to Howard. Looked good against us. Agreed.
daveyboy Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 That Scott Golbourne is a decent left back as well, still young too...
StanSP Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 That Scott Golbourne is a decent left back as well, still young too... has he had a history with a Premier League club? Or is he from Reading's youth academy? I may be getting mixed up so apologies in advance.

RizLCFC Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Your thoughts guys would you have him here? I'm not sure to be honest has been labelled a 'troublemaker' in the past, can score goals on his day similar type of player to DJ Campbell really maybe better.

Quick, somebody else post this, we've only had it four times now.

General Smuts Posted 15 May 2009 Author Posted 15 May 2009 I'd jizz on the carpet if he came here. Deja vu.
maddog Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Where has it been mentioned? Haven't they released Hannemann aswell, we should try and get both of them.
maddog Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Lita was scoring quality goals in the Premiership with Reading when they finished 8th and was talked about as a possible for the England team. Think he got injured and for whatever reason fell out of favour there when they went down. But theres no doubt he is a quality player, one of the best we could sign as he would be free, and a couple of seasons ago if we mentioned signing Leroy Lita we would have had no chance and got laughed at. NP get it done. Hannemann is also quality, better than any of the loanee keepers we have had easily. Leroy got 7 Premier League goals in 33 appearences, not bad at all, but also 4 Fa cup goals in 3 appearences, and 3 league cup goals in 2 appearences. So 14 goals in 38 appearences in all, 3 more goals than Fryatt got in more than double the appearences in the Championship. That was just 2 seasons ago. What an incredible signing he would be.
Mort Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Where has it been mentioned?Haven't they released Hannemann aswell, we should try and get both of them. It'd certainly help solve two problems.
Beeson_lcfc Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Looking forward to hopefully seeing Cox and N'guessan next year if they get done. Also would like to see Hahneman in cause even know he's old a but his expierence would help as we've got quite a young defence. But would also like to see Bunn come in aswell Need some wide players Lee Croft? Andrew Surmen? Both look like they'll be off. And probaly a CM Lee Bowyer? Nigel Quashie?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 Emad Moteab Has a touch of the Amir Zaki about him. Says on his Wiki page that he had struck a deal with Bristol City last season for £1.5 million but it fell through. Just thought I'd put an exotic name in there. Obviously I want Henri Camara still as well.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 Sekou Cisse Wouldn't be too far out of City's price range, looks decent when I see him in what little of the Eredivisie I watch and I do remember little bits of him in that toulon tournament. Looks worth a punt, already won a few senior caps for the Ivory Coast. Not too unrealistic either imo. Joseph Akpala Either of Cisse,Akpala or Moteab would do me. I just want something exciting and different to the usual Champo strikers. Plus, Akpala wears Kings. Case is closed.
