Joe. Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Marcus Hahnemann and Lita have been released by reading would be worth a punt. Surprised about Hahnemann, generally rated him when I've seen him. Worth a go I'd say.
lildave3 Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Surprised about Hahnemann, generally rated him when I've seen him. Worth a go I'd say. I personally think he's poor. Would rather have Bunn back
Jimmy Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 with Hahnemann's age it would be a short term signing, I'd like us to sign a keeper in their mid 20's who'll be around for years
teblin Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 With Lita Pearson would know him from his time with england u21. Might be an alternative to cox if we can't land him.
flanimal Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Rangers want to sell Ferguson because of the whole gestures thing whilst with the Scotland National side and premier league sides are thought of not wanting to gamble on him becasue of his failure last time out with Blackburn Rovers. Therefore Championship is the next best level and Pearson is thought to of been admirer of his. I never said anything about Joey Barton because he is Premisership standard. Cox wants to come they just cant agree a fee, but we're supposed to be going back in with another bid thought to be in the region of 1.25 mil. Bunn enjoyed his time here and wants to come back and we're getting Hoyte on loan because we can't get Gilbert again so he's next best thing. Yeah, but a few V-signs isn't enough to offload, I think the manager was OK with him now. Would of thought one team in the Premier League would have him - even if it's Birmingham. Surely Cox would be closer to £2m than £1.25m, that's too cheap by any standards. Why can't be get Gilbert? Are Arsenal wanting to play him? Anyway. Oh yeah, why does everyone say Barton is Premier League quality? Whenever I watched him play he seemed like a more aggressive Robbie Savage.
R.O.L.E.X Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Lita and Hanehman released seen on skysports that thye had been released would anyone like these two ?
One Half Wonder Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 LWICD - do you want to pin this one and amend the transfer talk guidelines to include this thread rather than last years? My tuppence: We need a keeper - Bunn/Stockdale/Warner (not Martin) A right back - Gilbert/Mouatakil Left back - Bale or realistically Kelly Youga Holding midfielder - Morgan Schneiderlin 2 strikers - Cox/Beckford/Vokes Other options - Adam Lallana, Rudi Skacel, Andrew Surman (they won't play for Southampton next year) Morgan Schneiderlin?! someone has been busy on Football Manager 2009! i'd sooner have Gordon Banks back in the sticks than Warner, he looked good on his debut then aweful thereafter. Deffo go for Cox though. I thought Michael Brown from Wigan would have been a good shout but looks like he's still in their first team plans.
deepbluedevil Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 would be decent but i think they probably would find someone a bit higher ie bottom prem-top championship
flanimal Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Lita would be good. Not so much Hanehman. They're being released for a reason. Maybe their wages are too high...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Lita would be good. Not so much Hanehman. They're being released for a reason. Maybe their wages are too high... Why not? Just as good, if not better, than anyone we've been linked with. And he likes guns.
flanimal Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Hahnemann is a little old at 36. Can still do a job, but think someone younger would be better.
WardyisPukka Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Defo sign Lita he is a proven championship striker
dan_84 Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Lita yes... our new Barry Hayles but better Hanehman no thanks, rather try and keep Stockdale, Martin or Hendo
dandannieldanok Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Would take Lita although he's on the decline career-wise atm. Always though Hahnemann was overrated when Reading were in the Premiership and some of the mistakes he's made this season suggest he's getting worse with age. Apart from Tony Warner, I'd take any of the keepers we've been linked with ahead of Hahnemann.
Jay Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Lita is only 24 scored 7 in 16 for a terrible Norwich side at the start of last (this) season will be a good signing for someone I for one would like to see him here, he has the skills to offer that we are desperate for
General Smuts Posted 15 May 2009 Author Posted 15 May 2009 I would Jizz on the Carpet © if we signed Lita.
Super Arj Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 goalkeepers get better with age.. hanehman would be brilliant.. as would lita
