J.Lisemore Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! Do you think he will be with you next season?
Bert Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Norwich could bounce back, the fanbase is very big. Can't see Birmingham doing much next year, and I think either Burnley or Preston could win the play-offs. Big fanbase yes, but that's not the reason they'll come back ip.
maddog Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 3 former Leicester players scored today in the Championship Stearman for Wolves, Gudjonsson for Burnley and Dj with another goal for Blackpool (can't see him coming back) Although with the goals Dj has scored it would be foolish not to try to convince him to stay. We have a proven Championship goalscorer on our books, we should be trying desperately to keep him. And he's scored all those goals at Blackpool, a poor Championship side finishing 16th place. Theres talk of Lambert, Cox, Phillips, Beckford etc, but we have a better option than them already, Dj and we don't have to spend a penny. We must keep him.
Lamby Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Do you think he will be with you next season? Yeah. Just signed for us in Jan on a 2 year contract I do believe. And anyway, who would want him?
Joe. Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 I'd rather gorge my eyes out with a fork than try to convince DJ Campbell to stay.

J.Lisemore Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Yeah. Just signed for us in Jan on a 2 year contract I do believe. And anyway, who would want him? Suppose . Didn't realise he had signed a 2 year deal. He was OK for Sheff Wed. Charlton vs Exeter next year
Lamby Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Suppose . Didn't realise he had signed a 2 year deal. He was OK for Sheff Wed. Charlton vs Exeter next year I have somewhere to stay in Weston Super Mare for if I go to Bristol Rovers and Exeter
Koke Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Yeah. Just signed for us in Jan on a 2 year contract I do believe. And anyway, who would want him? I wouldn't mind having Nicky Bailey here.
J.Lisemore Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 I wouldn't mind having Nicky Bailey here. Or Darren Ambrose

Ultra Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 I'd rather gorge my eyes out with a fork than try to convince DJ Campbell to stay. This. At least his record means we may be able to cut our losses on him to about a million or so..
Ultra Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Norwich could bounce back, the fanbase is very big. Depends who they get as a manager. Bryan Gunn looks a little out of his depth.
purpleronnie Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 I feel for norwich fans they have averaged 5,000 more fans than birmingham despite struggling all season. Amazing to see that birmingham get such poor attendances despite being near the top all season.

Amazing to see that birmingham get such poor attendances despite being near the top all season. They're a tinpot club with a pathetic fan base who doesn't deserve top flight football. I was really gutted that Reading didn't beat them today.
Joe. Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 This.At least his record means we may be able to cut our losses on him to about a million or so.. My only worry is that things on the financial front will take a long time to sort out. If I remember rightly he's our top earner (whatever drug Allen was on that day only god knows), and Blackpool (or any other club for that matter) are never going to get anywhere near what he's on with us. Unless he buys out the rest of his contract, which I can't see, this fiasco may drag on for a while until somebody loses patience and interest.
maddog Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Can't believe Cardiff ended up 7th With the same goal difference as Preston too, and thats only because they beat them 6-0 I can seriously see Cardiff struggling and going down next season now.

Why? They were unlucky today, they deserved at least a point. I seriously don't know how your brain manages to form the theories that it does.

Clem and Oakley not far behind.
Corky Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Depends who they get as a manager. Bryan Gunn looks a little out of his depth. Can't see him getting the job permanently. Smacked of "cheapest option" from the start.

They won't go down but recent history tells us that teams moving into a new stadium tend to have a bad start at home as they get acclimatised to it. That will probably rule out a promotion push, but they'll be nowhere near the relegation zone.
lou Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Gutted Birmingham went up but at least I wont have to get a 2nd mortgage for away tickets for their ground next season Pleased for Preston getting into the play offs and delighted that Norwich is another trek I wont have to make next season........ bloody hate that journey.
