Finchy Posted 28 July 2009 Author Posted 28 July 2009 Got the Rugby world cup 2015 then, and Welford Road as a stadium being used. Not that surprising but this is good news, can only help our 2018 bid.
Finnegan Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Lame. Don't get me wrong, it'll be nice to have it here and it'll be great to have maybe the chance to see a game or two. But I really think they should start sending the World Cup to lesser rugby playing nations. Italy would have been good, the last one should have gone to Japan.

Ultra Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Apparently the average ticket prices for this event will be EIGHTY-ONE pounds!! That isn't likely to tempt too many casual fans from their armchairs...
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 League star defects to............AFL Massive news
Nick Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Pretty interesting, the article states he played Australian rules when he was a kid so that explains at least the ability to switch.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Pretty interesting, the article states he played Australian rules when he was a kid so that explains at least the ability to switch. Junior footy to senior AFL is a massive step and Rugby League to Senior AFL is an even bigger step.......wonder if it will set a precedent at all.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Do I really need to add the word "Union" to this thread to keep the Bad Code out? I realized after i posted it, it was more than likely just a union thread I Prefer League so i might start my own thread
Guest Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 Anyone else heading down for the Tigers/Munster pre-season game?
Guest Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 NO Righto. I take it that you're a staunch anti-Tiger-ist.
Edmund Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Anybody else watching London Irish - Tigers on Skysports 2 now. Been a penalty affair so far. 15 - 9 London Irish winning
Finnegan Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 Jesus christ. What a signing that is. If he's fit and motivated that's awesome. Tom Varnwho?

Fosse Boy Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 In all the excitement of City's Friday night victory I totally forgot about Tigers-Saints!
JimmyK Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 In all the excitement of City's Friday night victory I totally forgot about Tigers-Saints! Ah, I was at that, my now-annual rugby match owing to a Saints obsessed friend. Always nice to see the Tigers win against them. Being able to drink on a standing terrace is a nice touch too. Was anyone else from here there?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 3 November 2009 Posted 3 November 2009 Lote Tuqiri signing for tigers is good news as long as Lote doesn't keep getting on the sauce and taking birds back to his hotel room on away trips.
Sparky Posted 4 November 2009 Posted 4 November 2009 Despite the injurys i like the look of the England team picked to face the Aussies on saturday , 5 Tigers selected including an all Tigers back row
Sparky Posted 5 November 2009 Posted 5 November 2009 Uninspired by Wales. :\ Cant belive Gareth Cooper still gets a game , im presuming Phillips and Peel are injured ? Hook at Full back is an interesting call also
