Finnegan Posted 5 November 2009 Posted 5 November 2009 Cant belive Gareth Cooper still gets a game , im presuming Phillips and Peel are injured ? Hook at Full back is an interesting call also Partly it's Gatland's crusade about non Wales-based players and partly it's something to do with English clubs not agreeing to release players early enough. Obviously there's only been a deal done with the Welsh clubs. Oh but yes. Phillips is injured.
Benji Posted 6 November 2009 Posted 6 November 2009 What a win that was for the tigers against SA oh my, Castrogiovanni
C-man Posted 6 November 2009 Posted 6 November 2009 Means we are World and Tri-Nation Champs, does it not? Scottish logic would suggest so.
dandannieldanok Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 Got a treble on Australia and New Zealand (both union and league) today.
Finnegan Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 Narh that was all pretty predictable, really. When you look at the England side out they were never going to win but you had to tip them to start a little brightly. The Oz are the weakest of the try nations and they're not exactly on fire at the moment. England are a potential stumbling block for anyone and and should never be written off but just weren't going to have the class to see Southern Hemisphere opposition off over 80 minutes with the side they put out. Now to Wales... not sure if I'm going to be able to watch this on the BBC website or not. I'm sort of shafted if not, got the internet but no TV.

I missed the majority of the first half but when I saw the score thought we might just nick it in a scrappy affair. But like you said it was never going to happen against Australia in a million years. To much class. I'm pleased with England though at least we didn't roll over completely and get mullered. Looking forward to NZ vs Wales going to be a high scoring game I reckon. I'm sure if you can't watch it on bbc there will be a stream online.
purpleronnie Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 Got a treble on Australia and New Zealand (both union and league) today. Me too what odds did you get? I'm on a bad losing streak at the moment though.
Finnegan Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 You're safe. We won't win this and the Aussies have won their two games.
MPH Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 You're safe. We won't win this and the Aussies have won their two games. definately more creativity coming from the all blacks at the moment and i have been impressed at how quick off he mark they are from the rucks and mauls.... But Wales have been known to turn it on in the last 30 and there is nothing to suggest the all blacks are untouchable
Edmund Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 That run from Jones in the last few minutes Just didn't have the legs so late on.
dandannieldanok Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 Me too what odds did you get? I'm on a bad losing streak at the moment though. 5/1, not looking great at the minute because England are beating NZ in the rugby league.
purpleronnie Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 Typical, I think I'm going to stop betting accumulators, always one lets you down.
Finnegan Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 That run from Jones in the last few minutes Just didn't have the legs so late on. Should have kept going for the corner and not looked around.
Edmund Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 Should have kept going for the corner and not looked around. Well at first I thought he was going to make it but he just decelerated in a matter of seconds. His legs must of just gone to jelly.
Finnegan Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Well at first I thought he was going to make it but he just decelerated in a matter of seconds. His legs must of just gone to jelly. Possibly. That or he just didn't have confidence in his speed. About half way through his run he was looking around for a pass and straightening up; he should have just chipped it for the far corner - at very least it may have given someone like Shane or Leigh the chance to catch up. Ah well. S'not to be.
purpleronnie Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 unlucky Ahh you've already forgot about the defeat then.
Finnegan Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Eh, to be fair to England (I say that only very rarely) they were never going to beat that Wallabies side. Did fairly well considering, really.
Sparky Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Only watched the Wales - NZ match and thought that was a good game. Wales battled well and Brian Moore said the scoreline flattered the Welsh but i dont agree with that , decent effort against a good NZ side
