smokey Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Who does everyone want first game of the championship season?my choice is Derby County (A) Blackpool away, or as long as we get them when its open so can go on the piss for the weekend!
Mickey O'Neil Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Think this subject has already been done. Can't remember who I said! I'll try Barnsley home.
dandannieldanok Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Decent away game or one of the prem relegated at home.
Ashley Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Newcastle, Middlesborough, Sunderland - If any of these go down need to be on the 19th of september please!
Salieri Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Away at Plymouth would be good, not too far to travel for me!
Legend_in_blue Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Something crap like Doncaster away because I'll still be on holiday!
Dan Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Sheff Weds away, they give 8,000 tickets and I thinks its about the only time in the season we will take a huge number there (considering we don't have a cracking season like this one)
Hitesh Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 It's Middlesbrough at home and its on Sky too! Sky Sports 2 I think aswell!
Scow Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Something crap like Doncaster away because I'll still be on holiday! Bloody hell, I had a dream/nightmare it was Doncaster away.
NewquayFox Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 It will be Ipswich at home then Newcastle away on the Tuesday with Blackpool away to follow. ;0)
Uncle Albert Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Sheff United away would be pretty good or any Yorkshire team so I can get the train. Relive some good memories.
Flynny Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Newcastle, Middlesborough, Sunderland - If any of these go down need to be on the 19th of september please! I'd forgotten we shared a birthday.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Away at Plymouth would be good, not too far to travel for me! I personally (greedily) would like you to get them no earlier than October, I'm going to Uni in Plymouth and will go to your game against them (hopefully in your end, if I go to games as a neutral I prefer an away atmosphere, don't worry, I'll pick up the songs and sing, won't be a sit down shut up type neutral) For me (depending on whether we go up or stay down) League one- Charlton away, I'll still be here for the first day and I'd love to get one of the 'big clubs' in the league, having always had a soft spot for Charlton I'd love to see my team playing them, would be another stadium to tick off. Championship - Sheffield Wednesday, very similar style of football to us and I have always wanted to visit Hilsborough
robbo Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Away at Plymouth would be good, not too far to travel for me! Im hoping for the same. Since I live in plymouth it will be one of the few games I can get to.
leicesterseddon Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 am i the only one that thinks newcastle away could be a bit of a let-down? from what i've heard you pay a decent whack to sit in one of the worst away ends in the country - up in the heavens, don't feel involved in the game, players look like ants etc. i've also heard the atmosphere is actually pretty rubbish, with only the fans in the top tier singing - and next year their crowds may slump considerably... although i haven't been, so i don't know any of this for certain. would love brizzle city away or forest at home as the first game
djedmundo Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Newcastle would be great for away atmosphere.....if we get a decent allocation (cant see them filling much of the ground this season!!) even better if we can get a win!!
flanimal Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Newcastle may still stay up! I'm not sure if I want them down or not. They could dominate the Championship - or quite possibly crumble completely!
