Koke Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Only because he plays more often on the right.I've long said I'd give Gradel lots of licence. Let him find whatever weaknesses are around in a defence. Two or three seasons back Ronaldo was regarded as a right-winger and people would have laughed at the very idea of Gradel defending properly. Now look at Ronaldo - a nightmare for any defender wherever he plays - and look how determined Gradel is to win the ball back. I'd be looking to expand Gradel's influence and value rather than restrict it. I'd doubt the guy would let anyone down even at right-back nowadays and that's a measure of how his football horizons have changed. Left-wing, right-wing, moving into the centre? No problem. He'd have things to learn - as he still does on the right - but he's shown already that he's willing to do that. As mentioned before, the lad's a gem. I agree with you wholeheartedly. I'm also a firm believer that Gradel should be given more license to do whatever he wants. He is a hard worker by nature anyway so we won't have to worry about him turning into a lazy git. The thing I like about Gradel [and I know you've mentioned it before] is that if he loses the ball or can't get past the full back, he keeps trying and trying. He does not give up. And that's what you want from a winger. Obviously he still have a lot to learn but he could turn into a lethal weapon for us in the very near future.
foxoffderby Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I don't like the cold winters and I'm 10x blacker than Lloyd Dyer. There's gotta be an element of truth in that theory. It's a bit of coincidence though that he turned shit from November to February. i dont like cold weather either but I still go to work between November and Febuary, the weather has never affected my ability to do my job. What a load of crap.
CosbehFox Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 What a load of rubbish, in fact I think this is quite racist and insults Dyer and other black players. Can't see the reference to him being Black on the post you quoted. Dyer is going to be the World's best player when he goes USA or Australia for his pension fund.
Koke Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 i dont like cold weather either but I still go to work between November and Febuary, the weather has never affected my ability to do my job. What a load of crap. It's got nothing to do with Dyer being black though, until you mentioned it.

THEfox Posted 12 May 2009 Author Posted 12 May 2009 Whoa there! Where's this thread going! I only meant to raise a debate as to whether a bit of competition on the left side would benefit the team.
Edmund Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 What a load of rubbish, in fact I think this is quite racist and insults Dyer and other black players. Are we in the 1970's again? He doesnt like the cold give me a break. He had a loss of form in the middle of the season thats it. He was rightly dropped and came back a better player, a loss of form happens all the time. Even to white players! Not because the bloody sun is out. I cant believe some people on this site A for suggesting such a thing and B the other muppets for beliving this twaddle! Dyer is one of the best wingers we've had at city for many years, hes got the lot speed, skill and an eye for goal. Ok sometimes he can drift out of a game, thats not because its cloudy jeez! Id start with him every week come rain sun sleet or snow! I don't think he meant it like that. I agree the story is a load of bollocks because I doubt Dyer will go around telling fans that he doesn't like the cold weather, but there are loads of players that don't like the cold weather hence why you see so little South American players in England in comparasent to Spain, Italy, Portugal etc.
Dr The Singh Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 It's got nothing to do with Dyer being black though, until you mentioned it. Kareem, your one of the most anti black, racist people I know, I hope they ban you from this forum!!!!!!!
foxoffderby Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Of course....then why is wheather always mentioned when a black player is involved and not a white player. Its been happeing since the first black players played in England. Just read between the lines in that chaps original comments from his mk dons source. The majority of black players now playing in this country were born here. So wheather is not and never should be an issue in relation to form.

flanimal Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I always play better football when it's hot and not cold, and I'm whiter than an albino's wet dream. Ok, not that white.
Koke Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Kareem, your one of the most anti black, racist people I know, I hope they ban you from this forum!!!!!!! I'm only cuntist. I hate cunts. And black people have more cunts than white people. I have no evidence whatsoever to back up my claim though.
flanimal Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Maybe they are Were ****s? The sun sets and they change into ****ish folk. That would explain everthing.

Alexikokopops Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Maybe that comment was exactly correct, but racist and offensive? The guy seems to have assume it's to do with race rather than the fact he's played poor over the winter period over a couple of seasons. The sweet irony is he's having a go at people for sterotyping based on race, yet he's the only one that's actually brought race into it.
Babylon Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Lloyds Christmas list.... Tights Gloves Woolly Hat Vest

That guy brought in the stereotype. It's quite normal for white players to not like playing in snow and rain. It's not a big deal.

Maybe you need to question your own beliefs mate as I dont think lloyd being black even crossed anyone else's mind in terms of his temperature preference.

I just assumed he didn't like the cold. Some people feel it more than others. Bruno Berner is always wearing a City vest when he plays, and he'd from Switzerland. I hear they get a lot of snow there...

Perhaps it's one of those cool vests because he doesn't play so well when the sun is out. You know what those whities are like.
