Matt Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Manager Of The Year - David Moyes. Premier League Manager Of The Year - Sir Alex Ferguson. Coca Cola Championship Manager Of The Year - Mick McCarthy. Coca Cola League One Manager Of The Year - Darren Ferguson. Coca Cola League Two Manager Of The Year - Paul Tisdale. I thought Darren Ferguson would get it, I was hoping Pearson would get it but though back to back promotions from Peterborough and Darren Ferguson would win it, having said that how many teams come down and go straight back up in this league? So although it was expected we went up we deserve more credit that we have got! Is there a 2nd in these awards? Pearson would no doubt be 2nd.

Maybe the LMA think Ferguson did better getting a second successive promotion than Pearson did bouncing back, and a better job than any of the other managers in League one. That would make him the "best manager in his league"

Leave the consignment of sour grapes alone and let it travel to its intended destination of Bramall Lane. Fergie junior's achievment in leading a totally unfancied team to automatic promotion (ahead, lest we forget, of the "mighty" Leeds among others) deserves recognition in its own right, regardless of his parentage. Especially as it wasn't him that borrowed Tom Cleverley from Old Trafford..

Moyes deserves it but I would have put Hodgson or O'Neil ahead of Ferguson simply because he's had so much money and the squad was already there from last season.

Son Darren, Peterborough boss, won the League One title and Wolves boss Mick McCarthy took the Championship prize. Exeter's Paul Tisdale was named as the League Two manager of the year after guiding the club to promotion.

Or Pulis would have been ok you have to ask yourself how great a job it is for a manager to finish in exactly the same position as they year before on less points!! I am not arguing that Everton have done well but no real improvement so to speak where as what Pulis has done is pretty amazing keeping up a side with little money in the first season is one of the toughest things you can do. The Job Roy Hodgson has done with Fulham is a far better achievement than Moyes as well
