Fox You Forest Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 All the warm up games have been pretty entertaining, soon as England come on it's dull as dishwater.
Fox You Forest Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 Personally I blame Scotland. I was talking about the game as a whole not England and obviously Scotland are mostly to blame but were hardly batting brilliantly. Just look at Bangladesh, Why do we constantly ponce about in the PP overs.
purpleronnie Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 Well I dreamt it was a south africa v Aussie final and the west indies came 3rd, maybe I should bet them each way?
Lovejoy Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 I'll assume all tickets for Friday evening's opener have been sold?
Cobbo Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 Well we're struggling a bit now considering it's the Scots!
purpleronnie Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 Sounded like the irish and south african players did us proud.
David Guiza Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 It's been a while since Pieterson has got a match winning score tbf though . Ahh well atleast we won . Netherlands is a big step up though
Ultra Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 True, excluding Ireland, Scotland, England and the Netherlands it really could be anybody.Even Bangladesh showed that you're going to have to play well to beat them. Even allowing for the fact it was an experimental side, we were woeful at times today. Apart from Pietersen, there isn't a single England batsman who is confident against a quality spinner.

Ultra Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 Perhaps so, but he's untested against the likes of Murali, Harbhajan and Vettori.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 Personally i wouldn't be betting on the Aussies don't think they will make the final 4. We don't play the short t20 form to well. I will be having a little bet on Pakistan if i can get decent odds for 2 reasons.....Shahid Afridi and Umar Gul 2 of the best t20 players in the world.
welck12 Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 Think i'll have a little flutter on the windies. They should be pretty good odds and with Gayle and the young kid opening, they can chase down a lot of big scores
davieG Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 What's with all these warm up games against teams they could be playing in the real tournament, haven't they had enough practice or is it just another money spinner?
Edmund Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 What's with all these warm up games against teams they could be playing in the real tournament, haven't they had enough practice or is it just another money spinner? I think it's just to raise awareness of the tournament.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 Just watched the India v Pakistan game....entertaining as always. It was a shame to see a country who have produced greats such as Akram, Younis and Khan now being lead by Umer Gul There batting looks handy though, Anderson and Broad need to put the pressure on Ahmad Shezad early cos if he gets in we could be in trouble. India looked awesome. Bit rusty on the bowling front but that will come good no doubt. Both Rohit and Ishant Sharma were immense.

Only 12 teams in it, The teams who haven't made it into the group stages like Canada, Bermuda and Kenya etc you could get a game for them because they're that competitive. I'm sure it's about cash as well though.
David Guiza Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 I loved Bermuda at the World Cup . They will be missed at the 20/20 .

Alot of the England players have'nt played alot of 20/20 recentley though have they? Because while the counties have been playing were'nt they playing the West Indies?
Milky Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 I was really worried about having Wright opening, but i come home and he's hit 75 not out. He's probably going to be a hit and miss type.
