C-man Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 I doubt it. We only got 23k last year. The £25 minimum for a ticket might also deter some folk. After a lot of fans left town for a season and didn't return till Scunthorpe we still got 23k. We'll get 25k easy.
Ultra Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 A lot of those who were at the Scunny game turned up for the trophy rather than the match. I doubt you'll see them on opening day.
carterfox90 Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 i will go for 26448 & what a change to be at home for the last game of the season last time i can remember that was spurs at filbo & we asked for that to be at home
ozleicester Posted 19 June 2009 Posted 19 June 2009 I reckon approximately 28,537 Approximately? Triumphant return to the Championship will see "approx" 28,452 and 2 pregnant women (not sure if Fetii count)... Fetii...Fetuses..Fetus's?
leicesterseddon Posted 19 June 2009 Posted 19 June 2009 With the new prices announced Id like to minus 4,000 from my original guess. Good one LCFC. £2 more is not going to be a deal-braker for 4,000 people. I think it will be slightly more than the last Championship opening match against Blackpool (which was 26,500 with only a handful of away fans). 27,500 ish
maddog Posted 19 June 2009 Posted 19 June 2009 28000-29000. Can't see a total sell out with the price increase, and no disrepect to Swansea but they are hardly a fan attracter club. They were only in League One 2 seasons ago. I think we will win 3-0
CosbehFox Posted 19 June 2009 Posted 19 June 2009 A lot of those who were at the Scunny game turned up for the trophy rather than the match. I doubt you'll see them on opening day. A lot of them were ******. One next to me thought S****horpe were near the relegation zone and we hammered in the opposition fixture. Might be surprise to see us playing them next season....then. Some of them might think Swansea is a cup game.
lcfc_jme Posted 19 June 2009 Posted 19 June 2009 A lot of those who were at the Scunny game turned up for the trophy rather than the match. I doubt you'll see them on opening day. I actually find myself agreeing with this. We'll do well to top 25k on opening day, only way that'll happen is if Swansea sell-out their allocation, in my opinion. Outrageous ticket-pricing and no 'big name' on the opening day = a reduced attendance, surely? Somehow though, I doubt that the new ticket prices will put people off for the home-game against Newcastle.. JACK ARMY!!! A lot of them were ******. One next to me thought S****horpe were near the relegation zone and we hammered in the opposition fixture. Might be surprise to see us playing them next season....then. Some of them might think Swansea is a cup game. lol
Floating Fox Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 Will someone back home get me a ticket for this game when they come on sale please? See you all at the weekend (Hopefully)
foxoffderby Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 depends on who they bring in the summer. Based on current signings i'd say 24,843
chesterfield_fox_91 Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 i say eeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmm 27,475

Jackharries Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 I would be very surprised if we don't bring the full allocation of 3,000 to the Walker's Stadium. We always get a very good away support for the first away game of the season. We went to Charlton for the first game of the season last year and took up our full allocation of 3,300 at £30 a head. Another factor is the fact that this will be a first visit for us to the Walkers, with us by-passing each other last year.
