Granno Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 50,000 scrambing for tickets for our triumphant return to the Championship.
Head Honcho Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Was planning on being in Newquay on this day but fvck it Leicester here I come.
jimmer Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 i'm going for around the 28,000 Mark's Thats alot of Mark's.........I certainly dont know that many
jockkkk Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 A ticket to this is my dads fathers day present. He lives in Glasgow but is an adopted Fox since going to the Walkers whenever possible. Can't wait!
Ultra Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 25k max. The holiday season and high ticket prices may deter a few folk.
fox123 Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 I think this is a really important game for our season. We need to carry the momentum and confidence that was had last term, and games like this are pretty much 'must win fixtures'. Confidence at Newcastle and Middlesbrough are going to be rock bottom, so happy to be getting Newcastle away early on. I think we should get a decent start to the season, and a decent crowd of around 27-28k.
Guest Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 52,989 That's cos we're a MASSIVE club Does anybody ever actually find out if they were right with their guesses?
leicesterseddon Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 It won't be a sell-out, I also think the opposition won't be much to anyone thus it will even affect season-ticket sales. If we got a local game or one of the relegated sides, we'd sell season-tickets off the hype. Swansea will bring a few. Not sure about that. STs are a much bigger commitment than that.
CosbehFox Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 Not sure about that. STs are a much bigger commitment than that. Well see, now the matchday prices have gone up. If you consider that going just 14 games makes a saving by buying a season ticket plus the away priority which is increasingly becoming important, people will bite the bullet. If we had Newcastle home first, it would have pulled in more STs.
StanSP Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 25k max. The holiday season and high ticket prices may deter a few folk. And what about last year?? Agree about high ticket prices, but holiday season didn't affect getting a big crowd for last season. Will be higher than 25k
Mickey O'Neil Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 Was planning on being in Newquay on this day but fvck it Leicester here I come. Went Newquay last week. It's gone really downhill....really chavvy now, I was gutted. To me, it's a few notches better than Skeg. Anyway, back on topic, 27878
Manwell Pablo Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 what a great first fixture this is, happy birthday Manny <_<
Legend_in_blue Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 You can count me out. Can't make it. Although since we're up against a small town from Wales, I'm not too bothered.
john_lcfc Posted 18 June 2009 Author Posted 18 June 2009 With the new prices announced Id like to minus 4,000 from my original guess. Good one LCFC.
Finnegan Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 what a great first fixture this is, happy birthday Manny <_< What's yo beef?
smokey Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 Think this is a great first fixture! These are a good side and had a good season last year and play the best football in championship! Will be differant this year though with Martinez gone and that ex QPR manager taking over, really fancy us for a good start in this one! Think about a 27000 crowd.
Ultra Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 And what about last year??Agree about high ticket prices, but holiday season didn't affect getting a big crowd for last season. Will be higher than 25k I doubt it. We only got 23k last year. The £25 minimum for a ticket might also deter some folk.
